I am really considering making a cube cage for my two buns the only concern u have is that sturdiness of them. Are they pretty sturdy or can they be flimsy?

        Thanks

It depends on how they are made. There are lots of different options. Have you checked out the “Great Habitats” section of this site (in the Bunny Info section)? Lots of great ideas there.

I find NIC cages very sturdy and easy to make I didn’t use a whole lot of stips per cupe, and it’s still super sturdy. I can move it around to clean behind it etc, and it stays in perfect shape. I used to have a pen and that is also a good option!

This is how I made mine:

              https://binkybunny.com/FORUM/tabid/54/aft/122052/Default.aspx

It looks like I have just put fleece right on top of the wire/cubes, but there is actually leftover-shelving which the fleece is wrapped around so he’ll have a sturdy surface to walk on. The cage looks pretty much the same today, I have just removed the bed (he didn’t use it). Still thinking of adding an extra floor, just need to get a hold of more cubes.

Good luck with whatever you decide to go with!

they are really sturdy but i would still recommend reinforcing with dowels for the roof/levels if you have them
