I remember reading a post awhile back about people wanting to use cardboard egg cartons for toys for their rabbits, but they were worried about if there were eggs already in it and if it would be bad for their buns. I don’t know why this randomly came to mind, but farm and fleet (Tractor supply.) has egg cartons for sale, and I’m sure any store like tractor supply would have them too. I just thought I should share that info if anyone wanted to use egg cartons but was afraid of it making their rabbits sick. The ones at the tractor supply near me were only 25 cents a piece, so they’re not too expensive.

          Thanks, Bunny Daddy.
I know that members have made great toys from the cardboard egg cartons. I would think that a good vinegar/water spray wash and wipe down, then air drying, would clean it enough to be free of any egg residue. Somewhere in this Toys section is a good egg carton homemade toy pictured. A keyword search might pull it up.
