Is it normal for my bunny to scratch itself, then lick/nibble on its foot? (She scrasctes herself with her foot)

It it normal for my bunny to be a little fat?

Is it okay for my rabbit to eat/nibble on a towel?

How much hay is enough for one rabbit?

It’s completely normal for her to scratch and lick/nibble on herself and her foot — most likely she’s just cleaning herself off.

What to mean by fat? It’s unhealthy for them to be overweight and their diets should be altered accordingly by a rabbit-savvy vet.

And my buns play with towels all the time, as long as she’s not ingesting it she should be fine!

And she should have unlimited hay — so as much as she can eat, she should have. It all depends from rabbit to rabbit how much they eat.

            Tanlover gave you great answers.

Check out this site’s Bunny Info for vet recommended feeding guidelines. If you are following those diet guidelines, your bun should not be overweight. You should see a vet if you think your bun is overweight as it is very unhealthy.

Well I dont think my bunny is FAT but she is not skinny, and I dont really know the size a rabbit of her breed should be. But this guy that is a rabbit breeder said she was a normal size. But my friends and family says she is fat.

What breed is she? And whats her weight? Do you know??

I know in some positions my bun seemed to puff up to like twice their normal size when they’re just running around, especially when they’re in the meat loaf position!

Well I think she is a silver…..or a mixed breed/, the breeder said she was a dwarf..but she is NOT a dwarf. she was 5.5 pounds about 4 months agao and she is probably about 7-8 pounds now. she is about 7-9 months old

Can you post a picture of her? Or is that her picture in your profile picture? She’s definitely not a dwarf. LOL.

Or maybe the breeder just meant she was mixed with dwarf? If two different breeds of rabbits are mixed then the rabbit can sorta look like one parent instead of the other… soo maybe that’s why she may have thought it was a dwarf? Hm, that’s weird for a breeder to not know that though.
