        I haven’t posted here in a very long time and couldn’t remember my password and tried to have it sent to me, but that didn’t work either….

        Anyway it is with a heavy heart that I came here to say that Dragonfly passed away on Thanksgiving morning.  He was fine, eating hay and standing on his hind legs looking for pats on Wednesday night.  Thursday morning he was dead.  Hoppers was laying on him and nudging him and didn’t want us to take him out of the cage.   We don’t know their exact ages but as far as I know he was only 3-4 years old.  I have no idea what happened.  He didn’t act sick at all.

        I was so, so worried about Hoppers, but he is doing really well, eating, drinking and being a little more cuddley and social than he usually is.  He was always the shier of the pair, not huge on snuggles and definitely the submissive – looking to Dragonfly for all his cues.  But he really seems to be doing okay.

            I am sorry to hear that Dragonfly has crossed the Bridge. And on a holiday too that must have been very hard to see. :'(

            Although your remaining bun is coping well, might I suggest that since both are of a younger age and this happened so suddenly maybe a routine check up for him would be a good idea. Just in case Dragonfly may have had something that could be passed to Hoppers.

            Again, my sympathies. It’s never easy having to say goodbye to our dear ones. Hugs to you.

              Binky Free Dragonfly. It’s always hard not knowing what happened. I agree about the health check for hopper’s just to ease the mind.

                Oh I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s hard when one of a pair passes away, but it sounds like Hopper is doing well. Many of us have found that it helps them move on if they are there with the bunny while he/she passes on and it sounds like it is true of Hopper. They seem to understand somewhat, perhaps they deal with these things better than we do. {{{Binky Free Dragonfly}}}

                    So sorry for your loss. Binky Free Dragonfly!

                    Glad to hear Hopper is doing okay with all this trauma, hope you are as well. I’d also suggest taking him for a check-up just to be sure.

                      My condolences about Dragonfly. It’s heartbreaking when they are young or midlife adults. I agree that it will give you peace of mind to have Hopper checked.

                            thank you for the kind words and thoughts. Had hoppers check last week, and he fine. He seems not to mins being a single bun as much as I thought (and as others told me) he would. So I guess that is one small upside. I miss my lil dragon so much
