I’m new to Binky Bunny and would like to introduce myself! I have two quite young bunnies named Toffee and Smokey. Toffee – the youngest, is a lion haired and lop eared rabbit and Smokey is a pure netherland dwarf. They’re are beautiful and very happy bunnies! I have a bit of a problem though with Toffee. A couple of days ago, Toffee ate one of my hair grips that was abandoned on the floor. I tried to pull it out of his mouth but he had gobbled it up too far for me to pinch it. He is pooping as usual, wet and dry ones, eating as well and is still the same personality wise! Has anything happened to someone that is quite simular? It was a very small, thin clip and I gathered he had either digested it well or dropped it somewhere. Can anyone help me?

        Many thanks,

        Toffee_Smokey

Welcome! Toffee and Smokey look adorable in your picture . How old are they?

Bunnies do eat the strangest things sometimes, and you did the right thing to monitor his eating/pooping/activity level. As long as these things remain unchanged, I’d say he managed to take care of it himself.

            Hi and Welcome to BB.

I agree with Peppy. If it was a few days ago, I’d assume he’s fine. My bun ate a rubber band once and I was so scared for a few days. He was fine, thankfully. Now I’m super careful with hair elastics, rubber bands or anything that might be tempting to a little bunny. Careful rabbit proofing saves you worrying later.

Would love to see more pics of your cuties!
