Yesterday night my mom left our new 10 lb bunny basics adult oxbow rabbit pellets too close to the cage, and Skippy broke into it. He ripped a few holes in the plastic and had who knows how much. As soon as I discoveredit, I took it away.
You can hear his breathing and it is a bit louder than normal. He was drinking, and has been hopping around. I’ve been massaging his gut to get his stuff moving.
He hasn’t been interested in food yet though
Please help… He is hopping around and stand up on his hind legs- no lethargic or laying down. What should I watch out for? Is it okay he isn’t eating?!
        Thank you ❤❤❤❤

Aside from having a really full belly, I’m sure he is fine. How long has it been since he ate all that? I wouldn’t be too worried yet. It might be a little while before he’s hungry again. Just make sure he’s pooping.

If he is laying down with his feet kicked out (see pic below) he is feeling very happy and relaxed. Probably extremely satisfied with himself.

As LBJ said, if it was only recent he is probably not interested in more food right now. Make sure he is pooping and drinking and keep massaging his tummy at intervals. Some exercise would also help.

He is almost two years old I think. He was laying down with his feet kicked out to the side. I massaged his tummy some more, and then when we were eating dinner, let him out. He was happily hopping around and even almost lovingly climbed on my uncle-he loved him!! When I put him away, I gave him fresh water and he started to eat some of the lettuce scraps! I was soooo happy. I was also praying for him; and God truly does listen! I gave him extra hay and a happy kiss night and left him. I’ll update you in the morning, thank you SO much for helping me. I really love my bunnies and worry SO much when anything may be wrong with them. Don’t we all?
Thank you again; have a good night & a happy thanksgiving

Aw, he should be fine, he’s probably quite proud of himself. My buns have broken into the oxbow bag a few times when the hiding spot wasn’t good enough… besides being a bit piggy and probably gaining a pound or so, they were fine. : )
