Hi I have two new mini lops and I am In the middle of toilet training them so I have put hay around the litter box to encourage them to to sit there and do their thing. I am wondering what I can use for my rabbits to sleep on because before they re sleeping on hay with a layer of recycled paper made into litter pellets but I want to limit the hay Only to the litter box area so I was wondering what can I put down for my bunnies to sleep on that is comfortable and safe?

        Thanks

I laid down some carpet in Yuki’s cage and he seems comfortable enough. He has a little “critter bed” I got for him from the pet store that he doesn’t lay in. I think its just preference really. Try laying carpet or rugs in their cage and put a towel or you can purchase a critter bed too and just see which they like best.

A fleece blanket. Just make sure that you monitor bunny to be sure that your bun does not ingest it. Some rabbits will, some ignore it.

My girl prefers fleece blankets and just sleeping on the plain ole carpet.

Have to agree with the above suggestions — we have the indoor/outdoor carpet in ours so if they have an accident on it then it’s not a huge deal. I would definitely shy away from any thing that can remotely resemble litter though. They tend to think it’s okay to pee there then.
