We have 3 flemish x NZ white, males, currently 9 weeks old. We have been getting conflicting results when searching and asking what they can eat.  We’ve been feeding them meadow hay and pellets (we fill the bowl up when it is empty), some green vegetables too. HELP! I am worried we are under feeding them <img decoding= !

They just eat around the hay and pick out all the pellets. I read everywhere, unlimited pellets, is this right?

Also, We have been toilet training them, and they are peeing and sometimes pooing in the tray, and pooping everywhere else. Is this normal?

Check out the info on this site, up at the top under “Bunny Info”. The House Rabbit Society recommends unlimited pellets for buns this age, plus unlimited hay. Some feed alfalfa (pellets and/or hay) because it’s higher in calories which is good for baby buns, but the timothy and grass based pellets and hay are fine too. Veggies should be started slowly, one at a time, but you can work up to 2 cups per 5lbs of body weight eventually. It sounds like you’re doing fine with the unlimited pellets and hay right now. I would just recommend measuring the pellets out so you can track how much they’re eating. This will be useful if one stops eating for some reason as you’ll know roughly how much they would normally eat.

It’s pretty normal for bunnies to poop all over when they are little and especially when they are around other rabbits. What is your setup like? Clean up the poos and place them in the litter box and they should get the idea. Make sure to have hay in the litter box and hay racks nearby that they can only access while in the box. Bunnies love to poo while they eat hay, so that should help.
