as most of you know, Rini and Usako are sisters who became unbonded after they were spayed back in 2004. REALLY unbonded.
anyways,, Rini was having her free-range time in one of the living rooms, and i had just moved Usako back from the big x-pen into the top door of her condo and went to the other room. i failed to see that the side door of Usako's condo was not latched. Luckily the 2 foster buns were secure in their x-pen (which is located in the kitchen so there is lava (tile) that they will not cross.
20 seconds i heard chaos and hauled ass back in the room to break up Usako's blitz attack on rini. it only lasted a second, but Usako managed to get in a really bad chomp on Rini's back. it was hard to see at first because rini's fur is so thick, and for a fight between 2 rexes, the amount of fur strewn about the floor was negligible. but the next day there was a lot more dried blood and i could see that it needed a vet's opinion.
the vet shaved the area, cleaned it out, and told me he removed a 'flap' (yeowch). it went thru most of the skin layers, but luckily no muscle damage. these two will NEVER be bonded.
