I brought my little girl to the vet early this morning to drop her off for her spay. She’s so strong & has surprised me 3 times now with how well she does at the vet. I’m always anticipating her getting scared or something but she’s so good! The vet said they may not be able to start the spay right away so she may not be ready to go home until about 6:30.

After I dropped her off, I went home to prepare her cage & bed & rearranged some things in my room. The vet gave me a call around 4 & told me how good she did & that she’s just waking up & I could pick her up around 5:30. Unfortunately, traffic was really bad & I didn’t get to her until 6. I was nervous dropping her off but even more nervous picking her up hehe. But she’s home now! & I’m so excited to have her home. Instead of laying in the comfy bed I made just for her, she went in her litter box & fell asleep she would do that, hehe. She drank water right away but hasn’t touched her pellets or parsley yet (to be expected) I think I may try a couple other veggies I have for her tonight & eventually try her craisins if she doesn’t go for any of it. I took my parrot out of the room so his screaming won’t bother her, it’s actually turning out to be great bonding time for him & I he’s so mad all the time So I think he’s happy he’s finally getting mommy all to himself right now.

        Anyway!! Here’s a couple pics :]

This was this morning before I took her in:

Home from spay, sleeping in her litterbox, my poor baby! Can’t wait until she feels better<3

EDIT: Forgot to upload her certificate!

                          Thanks guys!
UPDATES! She started eating a little bit of veggies this morning, still drinking water & still goes crazy for craisins hehe. & this morning I saw she went potty during the night, all of it looks normal!
I went to check on her just now & when I came up to the cage, she wanted out. So I let her out only for like 20 seconds & then had her go back inside. Occasionally I see her licking her belly or something but I try to distract her with stuff. I think she’s doing pretty good so far

Thank you for all the vibes! She doesn’t have a lot of toys yet so I think I might get her a few more for when she’s recovered ^-^

Thank you everyone! I just have one question though…the only problem in having is that she won’t let me see her tummy to check that it’s doing ok. any advice on how to do that? I’ve been try to just lift up her front legs & seeing that way. I’m guessing she thinks I’m going to pick her up so she keeps pulling away from me

Not sure if this will help but we used a treat to do it — we had a really small fence that we had gotten before hand that turned out to be WAY too small for them not to get over… but anyways. I would use a treat to get him/her to stand with their front paws on it and would shine a flashlight down there to look! I would try something along those lines.

Thanks TL I had to clean out her cage this morning because she peed all over her blankets so I had her in a little corner so she couldn’t run around too much.
Then moved her to her top floor because she’s already wanting to play & binky xD it was too hard keeping her in the cage when I opened it to feed her. Anyway! When I picked her up to put her on the top level, I was able to check & all looks good! I didn’t expect her to be this active already
