I feel awful right now. I went away for the weekend and when I came back my mom mentioned that the bunnies had been chasing and sniffing each others butts. I was like, "Oh brother. They reached puberty." I went out and fed them this morning and they seemed fine and I decided I would put them out in the outdoor pen while I was cleaning and when I put them back in the cage I will see if they start chasing and then separate them. I really didn't want to break their bond if I didn't have too. When I finished cleaning I went outside to put the bunnies back in their cage and my Mom said she heard a bang and saw the bunnies chasing each other in the pen. I run and look into the pen and found fur EVERYWHERE! Of coarse I freaked out! They were both huddling on opposite ends of the pen huddling. I looked at both of the bunnies and didn't see any scrapes but I separated them. Pip is now on the top half of the condo and Pepper is on the bottom. When I put them back they both huddled in a corner and I was so worried! I gave them some cilantro and they ate it so I think they are just scared. I just feel like it is my fault! I should have separated them right when my mom told me about them chasing. I feel bad.
On a happier note, the shelter has ROOM! Not sure when they will go back but I am so happy! I like fostering but I feel like at this point in time its not the best time for me. I am sure they will find a good home soon!
