Memarie -- Awwwww! (Marbles? I think that was what you said her name was in your introduction post) is ADORABLE!!! And her mannerisms during condo cleaning time sound JUST like my little brats! And Lunas loppy ear is to die for!!! i loveeeeeeee the one ear up and one down look!
FF -- I was thinking the same thing for Mimzy! *one second away from disapproval along with a poo flick!*
BLUEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I LOVEEEE HIM. I so want to bun-nap him with all my might. He seems like such a gentle and cute yet playful bun! Ahhhhh -- so jealous!
So during play time today... one of the Tans... ACTUALLY BECAME TUCKERED OUT!

He stayed like this for a total of ... oh... one minute. But WHOOT for non-hyper bun! Even if it was only for one minute... LOL!
My little bratscals! <3 I can't wait to still be on this forum in a year or two from now... so we can see if the hyperness is the baby bun in them or really is just the breed! |

CHACHA BUN TONGUE!! Ahahahahaa. Gosh, she is sooooo cute!!!! I'm so impressed -- the breeder we got our buns from shied me away from the Netherland Dwarf buns (she breeds BEWs and has a few Otters) but said she has found 90% of hers to not be very friendly. So many people on here seem to have such success with Dwarf rabbits! Could it just be the rabbits she's breeding? I know she's pretty good to her rabbits -- ours all came out VERY friendly and we've seen many of her rabbits and their habitats and they seem relatively good for the horror stories I have heard about many breeders and she's always willing to be very helpful to us so I don't think it's the condition she keeps them in or non human interaction since she quite obviously spends a lot of time with all of them. |

I already made a separate thread on Bosse's new condo, but thought I'd share two of the photos here

Gonna make wooden floorings and add another level, but this will do for now

Cheap and easy solution for the wooden floors (what we did to ours) is had wood cut for the floor and just held it up with really cheap wooden dowels. Cheap and easy! Just a suggestion since you said you planned on it -- hope he loves his new condo though! I commented on your other thread and if I remember right you said he wouldn't stop being a crazy bun he was so excited! Hahahah. Sounds like ours when we first built their condo for them too! |

Chacha has not given me issues with behavior. She acts like a normal bunny does, but has a mind of her own. I don't know why breeders say things like that. I don't judge rabbits based on their breed because I've met rabbits of all breeds and all of their personalities are different! Dwarfs have a stereotype of being hyper and high strung. While Chacha is a dwarf, she is very bossy and LOVES to lounge on blankets! |

Finally all kids are in the bunny room. Temps are going through the roof tomorrow. In here I know they won't be subjected to the worst of it. Had to sacrifice some zoomie space but now they have a view.

I really like your setup, Roberta. Especially those steps up to the window.
Sometimes, I pretend Cinnabun has uppity ears and then take humiliating pictures...

ChaCha -- I kinda have felt the same way! She had also told me that Tans are very hyper and energetic buns and need at least a half hour of roaming time a day to run around. And it's turned out to be true for my boys but my girl is a rather calm bun who likes to binky around (which she'll do in her cage) but other than a few Binky 500's a day she's not that hyper. Just curious and likes to roam in "her area". Everything else she's terrified of trying to roam.
Roberta -- I LOVE your setup! Those steps to the window are AWESOME. My buns would go NUTS if we had a setup like that and then would probably destroy the whole thing. But would love it none-the-less! How many buns do you have??? I can't remember... Maybe I need pics to go with the names so I won't forget this time!
Cinnabun looks like she had better get a craisin or treat after that picture or SLAVE may be in trouble! |

Cinnabun looks gorgeous with uppity or loppity, such a beautiful bun..... Lol Bullrider Raisins and Craisins mine would sell their souls for them. I have been trying to get pics or vid of the Craising Dance. Nermal even does jazz paws. Tan lover - The trie are still exploring, I expect Piglet will be the first to discover the mezzanine. I still have Nermal seperated but I think neutral territory is having an effect and there does not seem to be the aggression between her and Pipi. I might try opening the barrier briefly later and see how they go. Unfortunately the hot weather has arrived before I could start the spays so I had to get them out of the back room in a hurry. The steps are floating shelves from KMart with a non slip matt glued to them, no brackets to gnaw on that could damage little teeth and the shelves are only $9 for the small and $12 for the large one. They also have glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. |

Tanlover I have 5 going along my signature you have Nermal, then Piglet, Piglet and Pepper together, then Pepper solo and Pipi and Blossom together. Pipi and Blossom have lost some of their floof but Blossom has sprouted her father Piglets signature Mowhawk.

LOL Tanlover, That's Bloss but there is an old pic of Piglet somewhere at that age and honestly you would be hard pressed to pick the difference if Piglet wasn't a full Angora. |

Pepper and Piglet were taken from a backyard meat farm when they were little. The neighbours complained to a rescue group when their cats kept bringing home baby bunnies for breakfast. I loaned my pet carriers to the rescue and one was retunred with two tiny balls of fluff in need of care and a loving home. They could not identify their Mummy and it was likely they no longer had one. The mongrel that was breeding them laughed when he was told the neighbours had complained about the babies roaming free and being killed by predators. Unfortunately I thought they were both boys, I found out the hard way... never trust a gender call before 12 weeks of age and even then watch for signs that someone got it wrong. That is how I came to have Nermal, Pipi and Blossom, the result of two oops litters and whilst it was amazing to have baby buns and they are gorgeous it was also the most traumatic thing I have ever been through from birth to rehoming.
This is pepper and Piglet Post rescue Day 1
