Hi everyone so today was BUNFEST in Toronto and I got to go today and meet tons of new bunnies! Wabble (waffle + marble) didn't go because they don't do well with noise, so they stayed home =( It made me miss them when i saw so many other buns out and about, but i knew it was for their best. anyway, i have to say i tried sooo sooo hard to stop myself from buying everything in there, but ended up with a few things: a small and medium willow ball, a medium willow ring, a wooden rattle toy, two bags of hay, a bunch of willow twigs, a new nail clipper, a new fur brush, a caricature of my buns, two of my nails done in bunny art, yummy baked goodies, self made toys, new ideas to improve my nic condo AND a bunny clutch from the silent auction. PHEW! what a hard day! and i emptied my wallet too! but it was worth it because i'm in my room but i hear waffle happily knawing on the new willow twigs i got and marble nibbling on the new hay. =)

Wabble - That sounds like more than just a few things! haha  So easy to just go crazy spending all our money on our bunnies though! Just so hard not to

Everyone keeps talking about bunfest, it's making me want to go so bad! Probably wouldn't be able to go until next year though but hopefully I'll have enough saved up!

So I think I'm the kind of person who doesn't get anxious/nervous for things until the actual day of, because Mimzy is getting spayed this thursday (3 days to go!) and I don't feel nervous yet. Even for my trip to disney land some weeks ago, I wasn't really even excited until after getting off the train! haha. I think I might be expecting to be a nervous wreck on the morning of though And I just clipped her nails tonight! Was going to have the vet do it while she was under but decided I'd rather struggle and do it myself for free than pay an extra $20 :] she actually did fairly well this time

Mimzy I know your pain! This month alone my Sooki girl has gotten 2 headphones, 2 ipod chargers, 2 extension cords, 1 belt and computer speakers. My room is bunny proof but Sooki is a crazy explorer who like to get behind/climb/jump on everything. Its hard to rabbit proof the table tops rabbits are not suppose to be on. My other bun has never given me this must trouble with trying to explore "off limit" areas.

I haven't been to an endocrinologist YET but I planned on it after seeing the newest results. I have an appt with my primary care physician again this week so hopefully he can recommend me to someone good.

Peppypoo -- that sounds HORRIBLE. hahahaha. Hopefully you'll have lots of fun stories to tell us after!

Nikkibun -- your bun is named Sooki? Pleeeease tell me it's because of Sookie Stackhouse from the True Blood series!?!

Mimzy -- I can't believe you're not nervous. I was a nervous WRECK on the day my buns got neutered/spayed.

And this BunFest needs to happen near me!! I'd love to go to something like that!!!

3 of my classes just opened up at midnight and I have the assignments for 2 so far. I'm going to fall asleep reading this quarter. Ugh.

I have 5 classes this quarter. So I don't think I will be on here very often -_-

NikkiBun - Oh that must be terrible! I've really tried hard to keep everything out of her reach but somehow she just finds a way. When I get a new laptop charger and headphones, new rule! They are NOT allowed in my room haha. Practically the only thing in my room that is mine anymore is my bed & TV haha.

Tanlover - I'm sure I will be a nervous wreck on the day of lol. It's this thursday but I think I've just been trying to keep my mind busy and not think about it. But I kinda noticed today I got a little nervous when I thought about it only being 3 days away hehe. Just been trying to keep busy and I think it's working so far

Roberta - I have not seen that but definitely need to remember to watch it in the morning! I can't right now since all my babies are sleeping & I don't have headphones because of somebunny... silly little girl

I want to go to bunfest so bad!! I wish they did something similar around here.

The breeder just told me that the litter we've been waiting on was finally born! Now we just have to wait a few weeks to see if we get one. So excited

I want another bun so baaad! Can't wait to see pics when you get your new bun baby Hazel!

Have any of y'all seen the website Dogshaming?! Here's the link to it : http://dog-shaming.com/ I laughed and laughed! I was thinking it'd be cool to have a bunshaming site but my rabbit rarely looks ashamed. She looks more like she thinks she's entitled. Maybe Entitled Rabbit site would be better.

That dog shaming site is so funny! I want to submit one of my dog, she has the most pathetic look about her half the time. Here's one:

She can get even more pathetic looking than that too. Such a silly girl!

They are Flemish Giants. We waited for a blue litter, that's why it took forever. She said she will take some pictures for us in a week or so. We've waited so long, but now that they are born it's so much harder to be patient!

And yes, I will definitely take a bazillion pictures when we get him!!

Bumble Fly, that dog site is hilarious!

Mimzy, you should submit that picture!! It's super cute and sad at the same time Is she a mix? She's so pretty!

Hazel - thank you! She's actually a pure bred. She's an American Alapaha blue blood bulldog Quite a mouthful! My dad got her as a gift for my mom for valentine's day (That's the 2nd puppy she's gotten for vday! hehe) He hoped that she would be our guard dog but omg she is muscular, very strong, 65lbs but she's such a baby. If you can't tell by that face lol. She afraid of plastic bag noises also is scared to touch the grass when it's wet, ugh!

And can't wait to see pics when you get your flemmie!

Aww, I've loved American Bulldogs ever since I saw one in a movie lol. She has a more delicate face though, rather than flat and round like  alot of bulldogs, so I thought she might be a mix. I tried to find out more about them a long time ago but mostly came up with those extremely bully looking ones. Yours is the type I would go for, she looks more athletic, if you know what I mean Also, brindle must be one of the most awesome colors in a dog!

bullrider, thank you! If he turns out like your Blue, we will be happy! He's such a pretty guy!

I'M SO JEALOUS.  I want a Flemmie SOOOOOO bad.  The breeder we've gotten all of our buns from has a Flemmie that she wants to breed but hasn't found a doe for him.  I'm constantly looking on her website for babies I can steal.  *devil face* Bun Hoarder.  As most of you probably remember from before -- the breeder we got our buns from has ONE little guy left from our babies litter (we took the rest of them) and he's a lilac Tan and GORGEOUS.  She kept him for showing and breeding BUT I realized on her website that the new Tans she just got actually (all 3 of them) beat him at the last 3 shows they went too AND so now I'm hoping he's bad at making babies too.  I want him SOOOO bad to complete ours.  We'd have the whole litter then!  And that just sounds cool to me... and I've wanted a lilac Tan for the longest time!  Seems like barely anyone breeds Tans either, not that I'd want any more breeders to start up, but so it's hard for us to find any lilacs either!  She got her newest Tans from a show hours away and the breeder she bought them from is even farther away.  They're such gorgeous little buns but a handful for sure and I guess a newer breed to the States (or so I've heard) so they haven't really caught on very much.

That dog is BEAUTIFUL.  And does look like a TOTAL baby!  Hahahahah, I love how the bigs ones are always total sweethearts!  I LOVE how BullRider always calls his Flemmie his guard bunny when Blue looks like a total sweetheart!  Bahahahha.

So my boyfriend inherited ALL of his moms stuff when she passed a few weeks ago from cancer and so our tiny one-bedroom condo was completely FILLED to the brim with all of her stuff this weekend when we finally got the chance to move it all.  We've gone through everything though and were forced to get rid of a lot of things which is sad because she just had BEAUTIFUL and such artistic taste... but our tiny place will only hold so much and we plan on possibly having condos forever instead of just buying a house in the future so it just didn't seem very wise to even get a storage place for when we get a bigger place.  I'm so proud at how on top of and fast my boyfriend has been going through and making decisions on all of her stuff.  I know it's so hard on people and I'm so glad I could be there for him while he did everything.  He keeps telling me how he's so glad we're together because if not he'd still just be staring at the piles of boxes and clothing and furniture everywhere not knowing what to do or where to start.  I've only lost one person very close to me so I can't even imagine how he's feeling (for any new people -- he lost his brother a couple of months ago in a freak accident and his mother a few weeks ago to cancer) and so now he only has his dad (and of course -- ME) to help him get through everything.  I'm not happy about the circumstances but I've always felt like he's done so much to help me through all my problems and issues and I'm so happy that I can be there for him and give some of that back.   It's always been frustrating because he's so good to me but I never know how to do anything big for him because he has his head on his shoulders very well and just is very good at making the best of life through anything.  I would do anything to help him through everything he's been going through and I'm so glad he's been turning to me for help!  I was so scared he wouldn't.

On a better note -- I feel like the best bunny momma ever and the worst right now!  My brascals just turned 7 months and so the horrid, dreaded time of cutting back pellets has been reached.  They are currently at a 1/4th of a cup every day.  (Which they are NOT happy about).  All 3 buns weigh a little over 4 pounds, under 4 1/2.  All 3 weight close to 4.25 actually.  Just to make sure -- would you guys all agree that 1/8th of a cup is what they should be getting in pellets.  They also have unlimited oat hay and they all get about a cup of veggies a day (they get 3 cups in total for all 3).  I know some people feed their buns 2 cups each day for their buns that weigh close to the same as mine and I just want to ensure that I'm not withholding food from them if they need it and that the amounts are about right?  It just seems some people feed more veggies, less pellets soooo I'm worried my veggie ratios and pellet ratios may be off if someone gives more or less veggies to the buns.  Thoughts?  I feel like the BEST bunny momma because with all the moving stuff and organizing we've done this weekend the buns haven't had a lot of attention or free-time... about an hour a day for the weekend.  (Usually they're out for multiple hours since our buns are a running breed and ALWAYS hyper so the usual hour or so a day doesn't seem enough for the little rascals.)  So yesterday -- I FINALLY got around to pruning our AeroGardens and window herbs and the little loverbuns got a whole cup of herbs of so many variety (cilantro, parsley, basil, lemon basil, rosemary, dill, oregano, thyme, and mint) along with the pruning of the romaine lettuce and it got mixed with kale from the store (their FAVORITE).  I always feel so good when I can give them such a variety and I felt like last night after their weekend they really deserved it!

I know some people were interested in the AeroGardens -- here's them at about a month and a half of planting!

Romaine Lettuce : I'm not sure how the ones in the back are doing (I'm confused at whether they're okay or not because we were trying to get our arugula to catch up to their size so we couldn't raise the lights until all the lettuces in the AeroGarden did so we actually just yanked out the baby greens, salad greens, and arugula and replanted with all Romaine but I'm not sure if we are hindering the romaine in the back which is from the first batch by not letting him grow to his potential height... we are waiting for the other Romaine to catch up to him now).  But it's really good lettuce either way!!! And the buns go nuts over it.

All the Herbs! : Lemon Basil, Thyme, Dill, Oregano, Mint, Cilantro, and Geneive Basil (I think that's how you spell it).  As you can see the herbs are doing really really great!!!  We didn't think the Dill was gonna make it but he did!!  And since you have to prune them so often the buns go NUTS over their salads every couple of days.

Here's the bell peppers so far!!   I was soo scared to do the first "pruning" when you have to take off the whole top -- I really thought it was gonna kill the whole plant when really it just makes more branches on the bottom so they can hold the pepper.  But they did exactly what they were supposed to and one of the leaves were recently cut off was literally like the size of my face!!  The back two are bell peppers and the front one is a jalopeno!

And last but not least (hope no one minds, I know this is a freaking long post and I know the buns can't eat these BUT just for anyone who is interested)... the mega cherry tomato plants in the back and a fire pepper in the front!  Kind of worried about the fire pepper because he's so small and we had to raise the lights so the tomato plants didn't get burned but he's chugging along slowly and all of his leaves are big and nice so I guess I can't complain -- the risk we took of putting a pepper in with the tomatoes.  Hoping to make a nice salsa from these though!

Sorry for the extremely long post but I've been so worked out with all the stuff we've had to do this weekend and all I have to do today along with work that I needed to sit down, relax, and just get some BB time in for my sanity!

Hope everyone is doing well though!  And if anyone has the money -- I would soooo recommend the AeroGardens for the buns!  Ours are coming along SOOOO good and the buns just LOVE all the veggies they get from them!

Just poking my head in to visit.

This quarter isn't too bad.. yet. Hahaha. It is definitely a lot less slower than summer quarter, which is fine with me.

Chacha bun has been up to her usual antics. She is doing quite well and didn't wake me up this morning

Roberta I absolutely loved that video! That bun is too cute and gutsy. =]

Hazel you are so lucky you're getting a Flemmie! They actually have a bonded pair of Flemmies at a rescue that is several hours away from my house. I would get them but to be honest I don't have the funds for two more rabbits. Things could be easily stretched to accommodate just one more but not two.

Tanlover I am so sorry you are having to go through all that stress! It's a good thing that your bf has you! =] If you need to get rid of some stuff you should send it to me. ;P My bf and I are actually moving out into this huge empty house in the middle of no where. We're not too sure if there is even Internet being provided there. >.> >.< But the rent is cheap and we like that we are able to give Skipper a lot more room to explore. It's so sad all we really have is two desks, a couple of dressers, a bed and a TV. xP We said we're just going to live in the living room since it's right next to the kitchen until we start getting so more furniture to fill up the place. (Which of course won't be for a while because we're broke. But hey! There's adventure in it!)

Bullrider I hope Chipmunk is doing well!

Mimzy you are so lucky that you are not nervous. Skipper's spay is still a few months away and now that we have the date pinned down I'm flipping out. I'm so worried about it and praying that she gets through it okay. Which she will of course because we have a great vet. But I am just such a worry wort that I can't help but go crazy with anxiety.

LBJ -- yepp, they are on the Oxbow Adult Rabbit Food now. They get pretty much Oxbow everything.

Skipper's Mama -- Hahahaha! I've always wanted to start from scratch! I always look at it as though you get the chance to decorate and pick everything out and choose exactly how you want everything in your home to be! Even if it happens slowly! Your bun is gonnna lOVE all the new room to explore, I'm sure. Whenever I let our buns out into the rest of the house (which doesn't happen very often because 3 bratty little buns all who are hyper just ends in house destruction) they go NUTS with excitement.

So for those who didn't see on our bunniversary thread, we've decided to get another Bun. We've started the bunny-dating preliminary with towels that smell like 3 of the local rescue's gals. We went for age and what me and the head of the rescue think personality will match. He had pretty good reactions to the towels so I'll be taking some Bunjamin-scented towels to the ladies soon.

In the meantime, if anyone sees any good deal on nic cubes, pens, and a hard case travel carrier large enough for 2 please let me know! We're not rushing anything so I'm hoping to pick up some of this stuff on sale to save money.

One is a netherlands dwarf but weighs more than Bunjamin because her previous owners only fed her pellets and kept her in small cage So she's currently on a diet. She has a chinchilla colored coat.

Another is a dutch/polish mix. Grey with white paws. About 4-6 lbs.

And the last one is a mini rex with really unique brown/orange black speckles on white coat. She is probably the largest.

I'm trying not to get attached to any of these three in case it doesn't work out and Bunjamin doesn't like any of them. Hard to tell my boyfriend though. He's already got a favorite :/
