So, I’ve been googling everywhere and I did use the search box here, but nothing came up that really answered my question. I was told by the people at the pet store that Ollie was a male, and I did see the lady check him and she seemed to be very knowledgeable. I’m going on what she says until he’s reached maturity and I get him neutered (and or spayed if she was incorrect) But from what I’ve seen it is usually the female rabbit that bunches.

SO maybe Olls is a girl? I’m not sure. He sure does LOVE to bunch things. I could watch him do it all day!

Anybody with a male rabbit out there that bunches?

hmmmm I had to google to see what bunching was, but it looks like digging and pushing? If so, I’ve never heard that as a sex specific activity.I found some videos of rabbits doing this on youtube and many appear to be male, so assuming they are desexed so the sex is definitely verified then I would say either sex will do it.

Ok now that |I think of it, my friends male loved doing this, so I’m sure it’s not an indication of sex.

Oh yay! Glad to hear it! I need to post a video of Olls bunching up his blankets, it’s so cute! Thanks for the input!!! I saw that there was a video on here of a rabbit named Vivian that made blanket mounds and the user had to clear it up that she was spayed and not nesting, so I started wondering if it was a nesting/female thing.

Some male rabbits will even build nests! Or carry hay in their mouths like a female nesting.

The rabbit Vivian in the video is BB’s rabbit- the site owner.
She had the screen name “BinkyBunny” for a long time but changed to BB as that’s what most of had shortened it too anyway.
