        so ive been reading a lot about vitamin d.

        we live in a basement apartment that doesnt get much light.. we do go outside but the weather has been extreme lately.. he does eat his pellets like its nobodies business… during the time he is inside should i up his pellet intake? 

        any suggestions would be much appreciated.

          Grass hay has vitamin D so I don’t think you need to compensate if he eats grass hay.

            well he goes to town on his timothy hay all day. do you think it would be a nice treat to grab some grass and weeds from my backyard and bring them to him?

              No, I don’t think so. I think if he likes the timothy hay and eats that, that is all he needs.
