Hi y’all, I was just wondering if anyone has had issues in the past with Sweet Meadows hay being pretty brown when they received it? I normally order APD for Quinn, but was thinking she might like a change of pace with something a little different (also less expensive for me, lol), so I ordered the Sweet Meadows timothy hay 2nd cut and when I got it today, I was concerned because the hay looks very brown. It smells great, actually but the color is strange.

This is a pic of the SW hay:

This is a pic of what I currently have left of the APD hay:

I think the camera distorts some of the colors, but its definitely brown, while the APD hay is much greener even though it’s now 2 months old. I haven’t ordered from them before, but I certainly don’t want Quinn getting sick from eating anything that isn’t good for her. I actually just ordered some more APD hay with a friend’s amazon prime account, so I’ve got that coming, but just wondering if anyone has had this problem before.

        Thanks!

        -FancyQuinn

Quite a bit of the US is in drought if I’m correct? Maybe the change of colour is something to do with the drought or it was cut during the super-hot days and it dried out a bit more than usual or got a bit burnt from the sun.
