Wooot! I am so excited! By tomorrow my room will be framed in! They only finished one half of the house though, which is pretty much my parents room/closet/bathroom! Their closet is bigger then my room! Haha!  Now for the pictures!

All the upper walls are up but the one on top of the "jut out" not sure if that's what you call it!
View from the back of the house.

View from front of the house!

Garage (located just to the left of the other picture)

The laundry room on the left, my parents closet is behind it. The stairs and then my parents room on the right and their bathroom to the right of that ( but you can't see the bathroom in this picture!).

Dining room on the other end of the house

And tonight's sunset.

THis thread is called "Building with bunnies" So I thought I should give you a long overdue update on them!

They have been doing great! We had a struggle with finding hay that they would actually eat (why are bunnies so picky) but have now found the perfect kind! I think they are handling this better then me actually! I am SO stressed out that I can't be organized in that room that other things aren't organized that I just have to blind myself from it (I guess its my OCD showing in me). Its a storage room and half the stuff is ours so I have to realize its just temporary! I want to organize it all SO BAD! haha! I also feel like the bunnies don't have enough space! They have a 2x3 condo (which is to small for even 1 rabbit to live in, not to mention 2!) with a 4x6 pen attached so the main level is a 4x8! I know that's not terribly small but my bunnies (and me) are used to being free range in a whole room!

They also have to be in a pen at all times so exercise is hard. For awhile they would go a week at a time with out any time out of their pen because its always bad weather outside or I am gone! I felt awful! So, the other day I used all of my NIC cubes to make another 3ft, pen the size of an xpen to create an area for them to run around in. Here it is!

The whole area you see in this picture is about is about an 8x10ft. which is about the same size as my old room, but they only get to play when they are supervised in the evenings.

If you turn around there is more pen.

and more pen when you turn the corner.

It wouldn't bbother me so much if the bunnies would run around when I let them out! But they just sit and stare out side of the pen, wishing they could crawl through those bins just one more time! ( they have escaped and it is hard to get them when they hid in between the bins) and then they furiously grab the bars with their teeth and shake the whole pen trying to move it! It helps if I block their view with a towel ( like in the first picture) but all their other bunny blankets are currently dirty.

Sigh....what to do what to do!

awww well it's only temporary that's what you have to keep thinking of. I know when I had my two bunnies bonding in the one x-pen they didn't have as much room as I'd like them to but I just had to think it was temporary and they would be in bunny paradise soon. lol

When is the house supposed to be done so you can move in and the bunnies can settle in?

3200 sqft, that's a lot! How many people will be living there? Just you and your parents?

Wow, when you and your sister are moved out your parents will have SO much room!!

Our house is 1800 something sq ft, but it's just Hubby and I, so it works out. We are gonna have to stop getting more pets though, or it'll get too crammed! At least you won't have that problem!

Hazel: The plan was to have a max of a 1800 sq. ft. but some how we ended up with this...... haha!

My grandparents have a pretty good sized house too and its was great for when their kids and grand kids came up! their was a room for everyone! So maybe that's what she was thinking! idk!

They framed up my room today! YAY! I am going to post pictures soon!

WOW! I have a LOT to catch up on! I have been pretty busy this week with school starting, getting foster bunnies, and visiting my sister.

The view from the front of the house. As you can tell they have done a lot! All the walls are up and they are now working on the roof! Once the roof is done, they can start dry walling!

View from back of the house. (there isn't really a wall on the left side yet because it will be mostly windows.)

Now for my room! I showed my already, but here is the attic room right above it! It is bigger then the lower room! Hopefully you can tell where it is, it is right above the latter!

Omg, what a beautiful place! The view off that dock alone is amazing. Can I live in your yard in a tent? ;-)

I can't wait to see how it looks after you guys move in and decorate.

I kept forgetting to post pictures... sorry guys!

They finished putting plywood on the roof.

Today they are putting on the shingles (How would you like to stand on that ladder?)!

My mom asks me today. "How do you like the color of the shingles?" I was like "I don't know" Truth is, When I am looking at a house I don't even notice the shingle color! LOL It took my Mom and Dad awhile to pick them out though! Haha!

The are also making the kitchen wall today! (I didn't even know we were going to have one) Now that I see it, Our kitchen is huge! I was like, Oh my goodness! You can't really tell from this picture so I will have to get a better one later.

They are building the floors and walls for my upstairs bedroom right now! I don't have a picture of it yet because I didn't really want to crawl up there and get in their way, but I will have pictures soon! I am so excited! Windows and doors come on Monday!

Most of the time they put a piece of plywood down on the horizontal ladder so they can walk on it safely It's quite handy!

Monkeybun: No the other one isn't a latter its some sort of thing made for walking on but it is still scary looking! haha!

My upstairs room! They added the walls and the floors! (you can see our cat Emmet! haha! Don't worry! We got him down!)

The view from the other end of the room! ( LOL my moms in the picture! haha!)

And this is the hole where the stairs will be. It will be pull down stairs so when I am not using it I can pull it up and walk on top. if that makes since. I am a little worried that when I open it it might hit a bunny down below... Not sure how I am going to do that yet.

Here is a better view of the kitchen.... kind of....
View from above

Another view from ground level

And our fire place. This will just a gas one. Our wood stove will be in the basement.

Could you build a little fence around where the stairs fall mocha? Or nic cube temporarily. That way you don't have to worry about squishing them and they don't get scared by it either. The house looks fantastic. I remember how scary it is to walk through an unfinished house thought and how my parents obsessed over little details like shingle colors. lol

This is so cool! I love looking at the pictures from when my parents built their house before I was born. Especially the before and after pictures of what is now the yard- they live in the woods and had to clear trees in order to build.

The Windows, Doors, and Gas fireplace are in! We are still waiting for the upstairs living room windows to go in though. Here is some pictures!
Basement Windows

Basement living room french doors and windows.

Upstairs door (It will lead onto a deck)

Upstairs gas fireplace. They didn't put it together so all of the pieces are still rapped up inside.

Last night we had a neighbor over for diner. Randomly the lights start flickering, we look out over the lake and see some storm clouds! Me and my sister were excited for a good thunder storm and I wanted the electricity to go out! (don't ask me why, but I just think its fun!) Of coarse not for a whole day or anything, but for maybe a hour or two. Anyways, back to the story. So the sky turns dark quickly and soon their was rain and hail. My Dad was hoping the hail didn't get any bigger and crash through one of our brand new windows. Luckily it was just pea sized. The lightning was AMAZING and me and my sister took front row seats in my grandparents living room in front of their big windows! Sadly the storm didn't last long though. Today we found out that the storm was actually a gustnado and power was out for awhile in town. I hadn't ever heard of a gustnado but apparently it can be like a tornado with out the swirling clouds. If you type in "gustnado" on google you can find out more about them. Pretty interesting. Probably shouldn't have been by the windows....

My Grandma is very outdoorsy. She loves to hunt, garden, walk, hike, canoe, kayak, watch birds, swim, and just sit outside and drink coffee! Yesterday she tells me "Don't tell your mom, but when you guys move out I am going to miss the smell of your bunnies!" Of coarse she meant the hay and litter not the actual bunnies. My mom heard what she said and laughed about just putting a bale of hay in her basement. All'n'all Things are going pretty well!

That's hysterical what your grandma said! Whenever we go to the pet store and get there hay -- we always end up with a car that smells like hay and it's sooooooooo good. It sits in the closet though so only the closet ever smells like hay now. I grew up on a farm with horses and such so I LOVEEEE the smell of hay.

On the inside they are working on insulation and.....

Of coarse this post wouldn't be complete without a beautiful look at the fall colors across the lake!

Best news yet, they think the whole house will be done in about 6 weeks! YAY!
