Is that him growling?! I’ve never heard a rabbit growl before! I love how the dog gives him a wee nudge at the end then scampers away haha.

He is growling and seems pretty angry. Why is he being taunted like that? He’s obviously not playing

Sunny growls sometimes, I don’t think I’ve ever caught it on video though. He doesn’t have to be taunted to growl and lunge at me, either. Sometimes he is just in one of those moods. He sometimes growls, lunges/attacks my hand, then puts his head down in front of my hand for me to pet his head!lol

Hazel, I have 3 rabbits, 1 guinea pig, 1 dog, 2 cats with me in my den and we all are out and about with each other. Everyone is a little different, some just lay around, get rubbed but Furbee likes to play. If anyone is an antagonizer it’s Furbee. She pokes Max when he’s sleeping just for meanness but is a real sweetie when you want to hold and rub her. and  Furbee isn’t really mean, but she is having a better time than you think and I always let her win.

I’ve seen your other videos and watched your live feed from time to time and have enjoyed them. The gymnasium set-up you have for your rabbits looks like so much fun; but I agree with Hazel about this method of interacting with Furbee. A lot of people play with their pets this way, but it seems to be more fun for the human than the animal, and I worry that it makes them more inclined to be aggressive. I know that’s not your intention, but it looks to me like Furbee would appreciate some more subtle interaction when she’s playing. When my bunny and I interact, I’ll sometimes play “get the bunny” and pretend like I am trying to catch her. She improvises little dances and does head binkies when I do it, and so I know she sees it as a fun game where neither of us is annoyed by the other. That being said, she is my first rabbit, and I know they have some slightly different styles of communicating. Furbee is definitely more assertive and confident than my bunny, and you obviously know her better than we do; I just wanted to echo Hazel on this because I did feel like Furbee was indicating that she’d had enough rough housing. I’m glad she always gets to win at least. And it’s funny that she is boxing the boxer.

I understand what you two are saying. This is not something I do often nor is it something I instigate. But she was tearing up my rug If you watch closely there is no biting involved, just boxing. So I guess you wouldn’t really call it playing. It was more like a little boxing match, and a photo op. OH and the “mean rabbit” title was what I imagine Maxwell was thinking, not that she is really mean.
