        Leon is an 10 weekold Holland lop who has free run if that makes a difference. I’ve tried paper toilet rolls in multiple ways, a big box with doors cut out, cat balls and willow balls so far and nothing interest him except the willow ball and he doesn’t play with it he just eats it. I don’t know what to do to interest him in toys. If you have a picky bunny what interest them or what are some toy ideals?

          When many people think of animal “play”, they think of dogs and cats that chase objects, bat them around, etc. Keep in mind though that these kinds of play are practice behaviors for their predatory instinct, which is completely lacking in a bunny. Most toys for bunnies are things that they can eat or destroy, and they’ll be perfectly content doing just that. Sounds like Leon is showing interest in willow chew things, which is a good start. You could also try giving him his pellets in a cat treat ball to keep him occupied for longer.

            My buns like when I make them treat bags. I just take a paper bag and fill it with hay, a few pellets and a piece of dried fruit or two and tie it up with a piece of hay.

              Have you tried a phone book? If you put one under one of those boxes with the cut out holes, Leon might go in and start digging and chewing on the book. My Cinnabun loves to do this. The treat bag idea from LPT is also a great toy. I use a toilet paper roll and fold over the ends, filled with hay, some cranberries and pellets and then toss it to her. She can smell the goodies and starts trying to open it up.

                Bunjamin’s latest favorite thing to do is shred. So I put some brown bags and brown paper that Binkybunny puts in their packages in his tunnel and he has much fun digging, chewing and make paths in the tunnel. Just make sure he doesn’t chew carpet underneath if there is any.

                  I bet he’ll love a treat bag

                  @Cinnabunmom
                  I’ve tried a phone book but I’ll try again. I seen the tb ideal before and forgot about it I’ll be trying that also

                  @Frankieflash
                  I don’t have a tunnal but I’m going to try that ideal with a box. On a side note I’m going to send you a message regarding info on your vet.

                    I’ve noticed, after having had 2 buns as babies, that the young ones don’t like toys as much. They are much more eager to either nap or explore, forget the toys

                    Maybe try toys again that he doesn’t seem interested now, later on as he grows up. He may change his mind

                        we use a 12 pack of soda box to use as a tunnel, our bunny loves it. we cut both ends off and made an opening on the side for another opening.

                        we put a bell inside a plastic toy container my son got out of one of those toy vending machines. Cyrus pushes it around

                          My bun doesnt like to play with any of her toys either. I

                          bought her tunnels which she loves running through and a wooden bridge which she stands on all the time. I also made a treat ball out of a kinder egg container. I cut a hole in it and put all her pellets in that to push around now she pushes every ball she sees thinking her food will pop out. If it has food in it they will play

                            I’ll definitely try introducing the toys again at a later date.

                              I don’t buy cans but i know someone who does so I’ll steal there boxes. I bought him cat balls with bells he didn’t give them a glance I’ll try putting one in a vending ball to see if he’ll do anything with it.

                                I’ve been meaning to make or buy him a tunnel i bet he’ll love it and when i make the treat ball his little chubby butt will fall in love.
