        hey guys

iv been scouring the interwebs trying to find a age to size comparison for rabbits but i cant seem to find anything useful, really just looking for insight on how old typically will a rabbit be when its fully grown. Dakota is a N-dwarf and is about 4-5ish months old not 100% sure

i had another question last night but i cant remember what it was so that will have to wait

I’d say that they usually reach their adult shape and size around 6-8 months, depending on the breed.

I would have to agree with Peppypoo, mot breeds are concidered adult weight at about 6-8 months old. some breeds are a little different, My vet told me that my Flemmie ca keep growing untill he is about 18-20 months old. so what kind of breed are you trying to figure out?

Their frame is usually adult size by 6-8 months like Peppy said, altho some breeds will continue to “fill out” until 12 months or older. Flemmies and other large breeds are a good example of this.

Dwarf rabbits tend to reach their full size within a few months to a year.

I have a dwarf, and when I got her at 8 weeks, she was 1 pound. At age 6 months, she was her full weight.

It depends on how big the rabbit is. A small breed rabbit can be full weight by 5 or 6 months. A giant breed rabbit can keep growing well into its first year, and medium sized rabbits will fall somewhere in between.

Otto was 1.5lbs at 2 months old, and by 6 months he was 4lbs and hasn’t grown since then.

My Tait is a Dwarf Mix and he hasn’t really grown since 6 months either. He filled out more up until a year, but that translated to just a few ounces gained.
