Does anyone else's bun lick the bed/blanket/floor they're sitting on when they are getting pets? Zeus will do this sometimes, and I'm wondering if he means something by it. I will start petting him, and if he really is enjoying the attention, he'll start quickly licking the ground beneath him, whether it's the bed, a blanket, the carpet, etc. When he does it, he stares at me like he's trying to communicate something. But whatever he's saying is getting lost in translation. .
He does it most often on my bed, where my scent is probably the strongest. Not sure if that makes a difference or not though! . I also wonder if it has something to do with him being an intact bun for so long, as he did it more often pre-neuter.
BunBun does that allllllllllllllllllllllllll the time when I pet him. While laying on the floor, I will have my laptop in front of me and he will back his cotton tush in to my chest and nudge my hands off the keyboard and demand his pets! Then he starts to lick my keyboard and my arms. Just sooooooooooooo adorable!! As the other poster said, it's a form of grooming. If I pet Buns on the side of his tail, he starts to vigorously groom himself.
Elrohwen - Pic of your bun is soooo adorable!
