I know I don’t come here a lot anymore….Buster is about to turn 3 tomorrow and has been in and out of the vet all week for GI stasis. She normally recovers fine at home, but not this time. The vet said its inevitable that she will die from one of these episodes, she’s just not sure which one.
My husband and I are having a hard time dealing w/all the emotions. She must have been hospitalized 6 times now in the 3 years and $1,000’s and $1,000’s of dollars I don’t even want to think about.
Not sure if she will come out of this one, or how much longer we can deal.
Trying to keep my work face on but I’m fighting through tears. I did say ‘goodbye’ to her this morning in case. Please send thoughts. Thanks.
My boss is not wanting to hear ‘my drama’ and my rabbit is ‘not a person’. Ugh. Not making me feel good.
We have spent $1000 this week alone. About $4000 over the course of the last 3 years. Thanks Jerseygirl...exactly. I have never cared about the money before, but her quality of life is suffering. I dont know anyone that would have spent this much on their rabbit--or will continue to do so at any moment she gets sick.
She is doing good now. Back to normal. Thank you for your thoughts. Its just a matter of time...until the next bout.
Pam, she looks just like your bun, but yours has more eyeliner!
