Hi guys, its been a while since I have been on here, but I have some bad news. Since the update, Ipod has since passed away due to what me and my vet think a bad URI. We tried to treat her but I was just to late realizing the symptoms, that being said she barley had any.

Anyways after Ipod passes away, I kept one of her and charlie’s accidental babies, (before char was “fixed”). The 2 other got great homes. One girl found a home with my cousin who lives right next door, she is very loved and spoiled. Her name is now Pom-Pom. The other girl found a home with my best friend and family who simply adoor her. (She is free range!)

SO anyways on with my problems. I am moving into a small 2 bedroom cramped apartment and my mother just informed me I need to find a new home for Chubby. Now don’t worry, charlie and chubby are not bonded or even close, so I am not worried about charlie being alone, he likes human attention and gets along with all my kitties very well, but I am worried on finding a home for chubby. I put a craigslist add (per my mom) but trust me, I am against it. Plus I listed him for 100 $ ( ). Is there any safer I could do? I love him and I am NOT about to give my little chubby baby away to some shady person wanting a pet for their 5 year old son to tourtue. PLEASE HELP

*I am not trying to advertise for him, just looking for suggestions on what to do in this situation. May I also add I am completely heart broken, as I raised  him since the day he was born.

Try to look for no- kill rescue centers. I think the shelter will just put them down after a few months. Try to avoid the shelter if you can :/ can your cousin take in a second bun?

Go to Petfinder.com. There you can not only place an ad, you can look up the ads for bunnies by location and it will list the rescues nearest you who are advertising bunnies, so that will help you identify where they are. You can call them or check out their websites.

Another resource is your vet, and other local vets who could keep an ear out for someone who may want a bunny.

And you’re right: you are not allowed to advertise your bunny here. I will check with BB to make sure this post is allowed.

Thanks guys. My point here was really not to advertise but just find some help. I will post an add on petfinder, never thought of that. I am in a bad situation overall and I just needed some advice :/

I am so sorry that your lost your bunny Ipod. And that you have to relocate Chubby.

In Ohio there are two chapters of the House Rabbit Society. They try their best to find good homes for rabbits and provide foster care in the meantime, and are also no kill. They have high standards on who they adopt out to. The only problem is that they’re usually in high demand and may not have room. Here’s a link to the two chapters, I don’t know Ohio well so I’m not sure if either of them are close to you: Buckeye HRS and Columbus HRS

I hope you find something that works out! You obviously care for Chubby very much.

The Cleveland APL has rabbits from time to time so I know they do take them in and list them online. I’m not clear on their stance on euthanasia, altho I have seen some of the same bunnies listed on the website for a long time. Have you already neutered Chubby?
