I’m a member of a guinea-pig forum that has mods.

One mod has done extensive diet research and came up with a chart of iron, vitamin a, vitamin c, etc. content on mainstream fruits and vegetables. She also posted many sample menus and diets for guinea pigs and I found that ever-so-helpful when I had my first gp.

Is there anything as detailed like that (here) for rabbits?

Well, you could use that same list of veggies and fruit for your rabbits as far as diet.

Also the House Rabbit Society has posted alot of information on diet and hay and pellets so there is information that is already out there.

If you want to read lots of nutritional details I recommend “Rabbit Nutrition and Nutritional Healing” by Lucile Moore. It summarizes major findings of research and presents tables of the nutritional content of various foods. It also discussed the different nutritional needs between adults and babies.

I’ve read most, if not all, of the Rabbit Society’s diet section. I wanted caloric counts, daily value percentages, etc.

I was wondering If I could use the same list… I suppose I could do that.

I’ll see if our library has it.

I have a few libraries to check, including the college. If not, I can buy it off of Amazon.

I’m hesitant about that book, from what I have been reading about it, from people that have and commented on it, it says to feed limited hay and unlimited pellets as hay can cause cecal impaction. Which, honestly, is a load of crap. I may buy it just to see for myself, but don’t take that book as gospel.

You might find this helpful for rabbits — http://www.rabbit.org/care/veggies.html

I’ve changed our updated our veggie list to incorporate some of the new information from that article

I use the book to reference the nutritional content charts. For diet choices I talk to my vet.
