My bunnies are staying in my grandparents basement in their storage room. Their house is built into a hill so there are no windows in the storage room. It is SO dark in there! They only have 3 light bulbs and they are yellowish light. They don’t allow me to keep the lights on unless I am in their so they only have a little lamp. I want better lighting for them and for when I make my YouTube videos! I have a pretty nice camera but it gets a little grainy in the dark. I was wondering if I could put some LED push lights on the bottom of my condo levels or something like that. Would that hurt there eyes? do you have any other suggestions! I would like to know fast so I can continue making videos!

you can get 1 of those plug in clip on lamps and put them in various places OUTSIDE of the condo like one for each level. they’re pretty cheap at home depot and if you don’t have outlets that are close enough to the condo, then use extention cords.

Their is only one outlet down their and one of the plugins are used for the freezer and the other for the lamp/vacuum/fan, which is why I was looking for something battery powered. My main question is if I found one, would it be bad to put it in the condo, or would it hurt their eyes.

You can get a power strip for about $20 at a office supply store. I had to get power strips so that I had enough spots to plug in all of my aquariums.

I am sure I could barrow some as I think we have some but I don’t know if those are the kind of lights I want. I think that they might be more expensive.

I wouldn’t put any lights in or attached to the condo itself.
I agree with the power strip, though I’ve found perfectly good ones for much less than $20 at a dollar store, or similar cheap supply stores, like Ace Hardware or Walmarts.

One lighting option that works very well for general illumination is a floor lamp that is open at the top so the bulb is exposed to the ceiling. They kind of look like a tall pole with a saucer at the top. I have gotten one for as little as $12 at Walmart or Target. You want bounced lighting. That’s when the light shines onto the ceiling, or a desk lamp is pointed at a wall, and the light bounces off the flat surface. It makes a much larger area in the room light up, but softly. Even a 40 watt bulb in a pole or desk lamp bounced that way will draw very little electricity if left on, burn cool and illuminate the room.

I figure a $15 pole or desk lamp, $3 power strip or multiple socket, and a buck for a bulb, and you’re done for $20.
