so before Parsley was desexed he was a serial wee on the bed bun, but after being desexed about 2 months ago has had perfect litter habits and sits and plays on my bed all the time with no accidents and it is clear now it was territorial marking.

Then tonight out of the blue when i was resting on my bed he comes and sits on the pillow next to me and wees all down the headboard of my bed..eww!

Im just wondering if there is anything that could have prompted this behaviour?

he usually sits on there with me so i dont think its that i was on there and its ‘his’..and his litter habits are normal otherwise..

It’s pretty common for bunnies to pee on beds, even when they’re spayed and neutered. It’s hard to say what prompted it. My girl has peed on couches before and each time it was totally random, but it stopped after she had been with us for about 6 months. Who knows what they’re thinking.

It might also have to do with the bed being soft and absorbent and not so much the territory thing.

Powder is neutered and will still spray mark if any scent he doesn’t like is around. Neutering curbs the behavior, but doesn’t totally stop it.

thanks for the replies, i thought he might be angry at me or something! he might have done it as he wasnt feeling well, he wasnt eating today and went to the vet, they suspected his might have had early GI stasis so he’s had some injections and is home now and is starting to eat again

Rufus does it on one couch, so he is no longer allowed there, I think it is a combination of excitement and fear as he knows he is not allowed on the couch and gets himself so worked up he busts!
