Lately Cinnabun has taken a shine to a little stuffed rabbit a family member got me. She loves to sit next to it and lick it. I'm not overly sure it's safe but there hasn't been any problems thus far. Does anyone else have a bun who has a little stuffed friend? Is it ok for her to have if she's not eating it?

Chuck had a big stuffed lion he would lay on, hump and lick. Rupert had an exact bunny replica until Mikey stole it and chewed it beyond recognition.

Stuffed animals made for kids and dogs are made of all new material so they are safe and clean so long as they aren't eaten

That is so cute btw!

Porky loves his stuffed bunny and lamb.  He is also fond of one of my sons teddy bears when he is out of his condo.  He never chews any of them, just grooms and cuddles up to them.  It's so cute when he sandwichs himself in between his his bunny and lamb stuffed animals.  I need to get a picture of it next time he does it.

Milo, one of my bunnies in my pair recently passed away, and that left Bugsy on his own. Now he really enjoys sitting next to a rabbit stuffed animal, I think it makes him feel safe, maybe your bun bun is lonely? But in any case, unless he is eating the toy I wouldn't think its dangerous.

Perfect thread -- I've been wondering the same thing! I read one post either on here or another site that it helped bond their buns because they would take a lot of aggression out on the toy instead of each other. Since I'm bonding a trio right now -- anyone know if this really works or not?

I've been nervous about putting stuffed animals in there too but I'm heard a lot of positive feedback on other sites too!

I don't know if it helps bonding or not but I am going to be getting a girl bunny for Rascal on Thursday (if any get along with him), both buns will have stuffed animals so we'll see if it helps with bonding. =)

Penelope had a little stuffed elephant she would groom and carry around with her. That is, until I got Thumper and he chewed it to shreds..

Just make sure it's a baby safe stuffed animal. No plastic eyes or noses.

Olivia has a stuffed bear that I gave her the day we brought her home and she loves him. Its a bear for babies. And I recently got her a stuffed rabbit.

Just a warning though, make certain your bun isn't a chewer. I gave Bindi a stuffed hippo a few years ago and he totally ignored it for 3 days until one morning I woke up and he had chewed the face off it. We think he ate some of the stuffing because he had a serious blockage and we came very close to losing him. Don't want to scare anyone off teddies, just make sure to keep an eye if you have the slightest suspicion your bun might chew.

Sigh. Leave it to me to have the bunny that could care less about stuffed animals.
I gave her three over time. She groomed them, waited to get groomed back, was ignored for a few minutes, then left.
If they won't lick your ears like you ask them too, what good are they?

Such a Diva.

LPT: That's good advice. I tend to take away Cinnabun's animal friend at nighttime when she is in her pen and I can't watch her. But so far she just likes licking the bunny.
