Hi BBers, I wanted to write a memorial for my dearly noble little guy, my cat, Romeo. He has been staying with my parent's while I've been at college but I visited him frequently as they live in town.

Romeo had a body like a lion. His fur was a tux, right down to the black line that ran down his chest like a tie. He was classy. We moved a lot in his life, but he insisted on staying outside most of the time as he had a neighborhood to rule, no matter which neighborhood it was. His sister, MissChief (a calico with an attitude like May West) has been slowly losing touch with reality over the past four years. Though she stayed close to the house, she only recognizes her human family half the time. Romeo, in his failing health, found that it was more comfortable to be inside. He always made sure to go out twice/day to find his sister and lay with her in the grass for a while. She grieves for him now as much as I do. Romeo has been my little man for 14 yrs. He was always there on the porch when I came home to have a chat and flop over my lap for pets. He will be greatly missed by his hole family.

Romeo, I know you have all big shade trees to lounge under and plenty of tuna juice on the other side of the bridge. <3

Thank you for reading and understanding the love we all share for our furbabies.

I'm so sorry about Romeo's passing. My condolences to MissChief and to all of your family.

Oh, in case you didn't know, the original Rainbow Bridge website used to hold internet group memorial services once a week, like on a Monday night. I did that when I lost Spockie. It was a nice feeling of shared condolences and closure.

Thank you, all.
Rabbitpam, thanks! I didn't know that but I will keep it in mind. My family did a little memorial service today. We buried him and had a bottle of wine.

My condolences to you for Romeo. He actually sounds a lot like our Hello Kitty...dressed in formal wear and out on the town every night.
Run free over the Bridge, Romeo. If you see a skinny black shorthair with a voice like a bird, that'd be my Peepiceek...she has been there awhile and she'll show you around.
Thinking of you, Huckles...(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) to you.
Mimzy, Pip & Fiver...yup...my day is all about them. :)

Shortly after I made this post, we lost two of our other cats to old age. One, the eldest cat in our home that belongs to my Gma who just moved in with the family, passed from kidney failure and about 3 days after Romeo passed, his sister passed. It has been a very rough week for my family. Thank you all for you support and kind words.

Aww, Mimz, Peepiceek has several new friends now, I hope they are all playing together.

 <3 to all of you!!!

Gosh, Huckleberry, that's so sad. Please send my condolences to all of your family. It's a lot of loss to deal with all at once. Perhaps they missed each other and are now all together across the Rainbow Bridge. Hugs, and thank you for the update.
