Starting yesterday, my bunny Hazel suddenly discovered she can stomp!  She’s been doing it all the time, like every few minutes. It’s driving me batty and I’m not sure what to do. I tried petting her, feeding her treats, playing with her but she keeps stomping as soon as I stop. Is it a bid for attention? Should I just ignore her? Could there be something wrong with her? I don’t know what might make her upset since there has been no change in food, routine or environment.

She might be warning you, or trying to get your attention for something.
You can tell by their body language if they are spooked when they thump. Does she hold her body close to the ground? if so, that means she heard something that is scary and wants to warn you. Rabbits have incredible hearing and can heart things we humans cannot hear.

My girl thumps at me because she wants food or attention. If I am late, she stares at me and eventually thumps.

Here is a fun site that may help you out:

I love that site! Thane has a sore bottom and he stomps with both legs if he’s in pain. Have you picked your bun up and had a look at her under parts? Just make sure she’s okay

My Chester stomps like crazy, at about five to six every morning to let me know that in about five minutes, the alarm is going to go off and it’s time to feed him breakfast. It drives me nuts on weekends! But on the positive side of things, I have not been late for work since he moved into my room. It is impossible not to get up when a hungry rabbit is trying to get your attention!

My Spooky has only thumped when he was upset about something or warning me. I haven’t seem him do it for attention. He likes to nip my ankles for attention instead.
