Dear sweet little Blossom has got a stained butt. There has been no diarreaha, she’s not peeing herself but she does like to sleep in the litter tray or at the bottom of the family cuddle puddle which means sometimes the cecals stick. The area is ok all bits are free and unobstructed and there is no build up in the anal glands. Staining seems to be the problem. Plain warm water does nothing so does any one have suggestions how to get stains out of white french angora butt fur ????? Blossom is the family grot and has no fondness for grooming herself but loves to wash every bunny elses face and ears.

The stains will only come out over time. You can cut the hair short or have the vet shave it.

Oh Well, Don’t really fancy going near the dainty bits with a pair of scissors so I might get them to shave her when she goes in for spaying in June. Bloss really is the grottiest bun. The other night when she finished her carrot slice she had managed to spread the orange colouring over her entire face. The others were fine and clean but not Bloss the Wonder Grot. When I clean out the houses and play areas she is the first one to take a flying leap off the day bed into the big bag full of soiled hay and poop.
