Hiii everyonee!! Long time no chat!!!  The last time i visited the site it was just down for awhile…  and so I forgot to check for it when it came back! I am so glad that binkybunny is up and running again!

So recently I noticed that Buster looks like he’s baldingg! On top of his head! I looked it up online, and i’m not sure if its just normal, or Lola has been overgrooming him. The site also said that overgrooming could be a cause of boredom… what do you guys think? and what should i do?! I miss his little fuzzy bunny head!

            Sounds like shedding.

If she’s overgrooming him, get her a new toy to play with (willow ball) so she can be distracted.

I’d bet on the shed, however. Comb him to see if fur is coming off elsewhere, which may be shedding, too.

It seems like he’s always sorta shedding… everytime I comb with the hairbuster, something’s coming off! Usually when he’s shedding I notice like this weird “ridge” around his head/neck area, this time he just looks… balding! I bought them a new toy a few days ago, hopefully this will keep them busy, i’ll buy more!

Binky and Brittany have been shedding for the past month. Which now they seem to be done. Brittany would get this wierd trail going down her spine where the old hair was and the new hair was growing. Then by the next day or so her fur would even out.

My bun used to get a little bald spot on the top of her head whenever she was going through a “big” shed (she had longer hair and was always shedding some hair). She used to get this little circle (maybe an inch across? it’s been awhile… ) right between her ears that would be bald until new little fuzz sprouted. My family used to call it her “little old man spot”

It’s normal for bunnies to get little bald spots when they’re shedding, especially if they’re over-brushed. If the bald spot gets bigger than a nickel, or if the skin looks dry or irritated, it could be a sign of fur mites or a more serious problem. Sounds like he’s just shedding to me, though. Both of my buns are also shedding right now.
