Hello all!

I am very excited to have stumbled upon this forum!

Several months ago my husband and I lost our rabbit (old age - she just passed away during the night). I miss her dearly.

However We recently brought home a new addition who I am absolutely smitten with! She is a super sweet, but shy little mini lop named BonBon (my avatar). We are unsure of her exact age but she is a definitely a young adult. Her past owner kept her as an outside bunny, and although she was very well cared for, she is clearly enjoying her new life as a house bunny!

In addition to BonBon I also have 4 dogs (a Doberman, a Min Pin, and 2 Pekingese) and am very interested in training and dog behavior. My interests are actually what helped guide me here. I absolutely love clicker training and have begun working with BonBon. She has learned to target a click stick and is beginning to learn to spin. But I realized that despite having had rabbits as pets in the past, I really just don't know nearly as much as I would like to know about behavior and all things bunny! So to make a long story short, I am hoping to hang out here and learn as much as I can!

Hi welcome to BB I am very sorry about your rabbit, it's never easy. How long did you have her for?

Oh my goodness...BonBon is adorable, ahhh those little spots next to her nose! Clicker training is great, I've been working with one of my rabbits for a couple months now (my other rabbit is deaf).

Thanks for the welcome bunnyfriend!

We had Carrot (our last bunny) for 9 years! She was actually my first pet as an adult.

And I am excited to meet someone else who is clicker training their rabbits.
Have you ever considered using a LED light for your deaf rabbit? Many people with deaf dogs use the light as a marker very successfully.

Welcome Kmes!! BonBon is a big cutie!!

I also just recently aquired a deaf bunny and have been trying to work on training by tapping on the floor, but it's not working so well (obviously because the floor vibrates all the time to him from just everyday stuff ). I'm super intriguied by training by light! It never occured to me.

You're teaching us new things as well!

Welcome! Bonbon is adorable. And I love people who are interested in learning more about their pets. I've learned so much about rabbits and other animals off this site. I hope you can find it helpful too!
