        Hi,

So Vladimir is OK with his litter box insofar as he poops inside the litter box most of the time and NOT everywhere else in the house.

On the other hand, he seems to be marking his territory by pooping on the mat in front of the bunny condo, and the condo’s upstairs floor – also in front of the extra bowl of hay.

So all the reading we’ve done says he’s just marking his territory.    But what should we do about it?  It’s not as if he doesn’t know to use the box.   Do we start over with litter box training?

        Thanks.

Well, for the hay bunnies love to eat and poop so most people arrange the hay so they have to be on the litterbox to eat it. That is normal.

For marking, is he altered? If so just place the poops back in his box as you see them. A few stray ones is pretty normal, though if he Is leaving a lot just be sure to clean the area with vinegar to remove the smell. Powder sometimes leaves a few out of the box and I just pick them up. Bunny poo is thankfully easy to clean and mostly smell free.
