As the title says, I’m checking to see if anyone has any recommendations for bunny friendly types of carpet. I’m looking to replace the one I currently have underneath my rabbit’s x-pen with something that has more cushion. I’m going to go to a carpet store nearby to get a rug custom made, and I’d rather get it right the first time. He’s not a carpet muncher, but I’d rather not get one that’s tempting.

Berber? Loop? Any past experiences would be helpful. Thanks everyone!

I got a large roll of carpet from a discount carpet store. I don’t know anything about what kind it is, but it is a very short length, basically just flat. Jenner seems to really like it and he’s never dug or chewed at it.

I got a 4’x5′ area rug, low pile (gray) from Target for $20.
But over that I tuck a 100% cotton flannel sheet or square of fabric cut from Walmart or a fabric store and wrap it around the carpet, so she had a soft, smooth surface with a little traction but not much temptation to pull on pile with her teeth. Easily washed and replaced, unlike the carpet under it.

                  Carpet tiles!!!

We just bought a house and they had horribly ugly carpet tiles in the basement. We replaced them but kept them, they are SUPER for the bunnies. They are rubber backed so they are leak proof. They are super low pile so they don’t chew them And I have hoardes so if they are dirty I can toss them. A box would be about 40$ but you can use them to fit anywhere because they are 12×12 just like tiles and super easy to lay down, replace and cut!

I got a short, and soft tan carpet. Looks good, and is super comfy! Best of both worlds! lol, It was $21 and it’s 5′ by 7′.
It’s pretty good too. I got it at a Walmart in Kentucky. I don’t know why anyone would want to know, but..yeah .
