So when we went to get Sherlock we had planned on bring two bunnies home. I knew I wanted a blue or steal male. And the mister wanted a fawn and didnt really care about the sex (I knew I was not letting him have a male). I knew Sherlock was the one the minute he stuck his blue head out of the hutch. He was just a cuddle bunny. But misters bunny was still to young to go but we picked her out. She is coming home on Friday so hoppy!!! She has a boys name (I had to let him name his own bunny) Watson.
Here is a cute lil side story.
I have been having some health issues so I spent most of the day in bed and at the doctor’s office. So when I came home it’s the first time I got down on the floor with him He was so happy. Made dinner and cleaned up and the mister asked me to bake some cookies so I did so after I put them in I sat on the floor with Sherlock for some lovely time (I didnt wash my hand
) so I was petting that to cute nose of his and he smelled my fingers and went NUTS
! He was sitting on my lap so I didnt want to get up and everything I have read says dont give the refined sugar so I hid my hands. He starts cuddling around my neck and giving kisses then I guess he smelled I had eaten a lil bit of the cookie dough and he bit my lip lil stinker is smart as all get out. So I put him down and wash my hands and face. But he kept making this honking noise it was too cute. I knew bunnies had a sweet to but boy have I learn to wash my hands after I eat sweets!!
I told the mister I felt silly!! -
Wow that’s funny! I can’t have bananas anywhere near the buns, they both go berzerk hah.
Just a couple things, you have to keep them both separate until she is 5 months and spayed. I’m not sure the space you have, so that means about 8×16 (2 4×8 living spaces) just for 2 bunnies. And Flemish bunnies eat. A LOT. My one eats about $40+monthly in veggies alone, 5lbs of pellets a week (since they are unlimited pellets until full grown, which is about a year for Flemmies) which is another $40 monthly, and we had to buy a bale of hay because the 40oz bags were gone weekly. We actually just ordered 50lbs of oxbow to try to save some money. I mean you’ve probably already thought of that but I wanted to make sure you knew you were in for about 150 a month in feeding the goobers
