Hey everyone! Today I got a new bunny…!!!  He is harlequin color(?) He is black, brown, and white! He has got some netherland dwarf in him, and he’s about 8 months old! Pics will be up very soon!!

I have some Q’s tho. His poop is kinda gooey. Gooey on the outside and kinda hard on the inside. Is this O.K?

And also he pooped TINY poops and then ate them… what were these? Cecotropes?!

and NEXT he also kinda… eats his litter! Is that O.K?

LASTLY he peed, it was yellow, but kinda cloudy. This may hve been cuz of the floor! But idk…

He is sooooooooooooooooooo sweet and soft♥

        Thanks!!!!!

P.s–I need name suggestions–Pics willl be up later, so frequently check this thread!

Congrats on the new bunny!  I hope you’re able to get pics up soon.

As far as his droppings go, they may be a result of the travel and move to a new house.  It took the BWNN about 1.5-2 days for his droppings to get back to totally normal–his were smaller and looked moister than normal.  It may well be a temporary upset, but it’s something to keep an eye on anyway.

You’re right that it’s likely what he’s eating are cecotropes.  There’s a great picture here - pluckandfeather.com/2010/09/page/2 that shows a clump of cecotropes next to regular bunny droppings.

What kind of litter is he eating?  Hay?  Recycled paper?  Wood stove pellets?  No, unless it’s hay, he really shouldn’t be eating his litter.

Bunny urine runs a pretty wide gamut of colors–clear, yellow, dark yellow, brown, reddish.  It’s likely totally normal.

Cruise on up to the top of the page to the link marked “Bunny Info” and settle in for some very good reading.    You’ll find information on rabbit health, litterbox training, spaying/neutering–a whole universe of info.  If you haven’t already, start looking for a vet who’s experienced with bunnies and once you’ve found one, go ahead and take the little guy in for a check-up just to be on the safe side.

This is Pablo!(: I know he has Netherland Dwarf in him. Does anyone know another breed he could possibly be? He is around 8-9 months old. Thanks! ( I will tell his story later!(: He was in bad conditions…)

                       Him just hoppin’ around!

Pablo’s story: I got him from a farm. His poop was FILLED with poop.. I checked him out. He seemed to be in fair conditions. I am taking him to the vet ASAP for him to be neutered. But as of right now… I am not even sure he’s a boy! I will keep everyone updated!

I can see the nethy in his face but he’d be called a Harlequin first due to the coloring.

He’s cute and his coloring is definitely Harlequin.

Beautiful bunny! I don’t really see the nethie in him, but I don’t know what else he would be. His coloring is definitely harlequin (my favorite color!) but that occurs in many breeds and mixes so it doesn’t help place what he is. Whatever he is, he’s gorgeous.

BB, Kokaneeandkahlua, Elrohwen & Sarita: Thankyou! And Markbun: Okay, so, no nethy? I was told he had some. But I don’t think so. I just saw some nethies and they don’t look much like mine. Thanks for commenting, but any ideas on what he could  be?

I’m really not sure. His fur feels so silky…!

Thanks and he’s going to the vet this week. I am pretty sure he may have ear mites. I am going to get this guy all fixed up.
