Can the fantastic folks of BB give me some ideas for hay-based treats for Miss Diva West?  Vet’s orders are no veggies, fruits, or treats.  Just hay and pellets.  So I thought I could give her the flavored hay cubes, like these:

        http://www.kaytee.com/products/kayt…bblers.php

And I know Oxbow makes a hay-based treat:

Any other ideas?  I want to give her something when Zeus gets his greens and treats.

The kaytee has dried veggies in it, so I wouldn’t use those. The oxbow might be OK, but i’d ask the vet first. You could order her a special kind of hay and give it as a treat when Zeus gets his goodies – IE: If she’s on timothy, buy some oat hay or orchard hay as a treat hay. Or… you could give her smaller amounts of pellets for dinner/breakfast and give her pellets as treats.

            Like these? http://store.binkybunny.com/new-parsley-flavored-oat-pellet-treat-floppers-garden-p155.aspx

Nova doesn’t love them, but she does eat them. She has too much of a sweet tooth I guess. But I give her some with her pellets for variety. What about flowers? This might have too much stuff in it, but I’ll post it anyways.

My little Nethie loves the Oxbow ones and they are small and there are quite a bit in the bag.

I think any of the oxbow treats would be fine (Barley Biscuits, Veggie Biscuits).

Oh really?  Do they all have hay as a main ingredient?  I’ll have to check them out, luckily the local pet store carries Oxbow treats.

My 4 go bonkers for the timothy treats. Well, they did before I stopped giving them to them. Smudge is allergic to timothy hay, so they aren’t for her and it makes more sense to me to buy treats all of them can have Definitely recommend them

All my rabbits love the timmy treats as well. They don’t go bonkers but they do enjoy them very much :~)

My rabbits LOVE the kaytee timothy treats! I don’t think I will buy the kaytee brand any more as I don’t like to support them but I am sure my buns would like the oxbow ones too.

I made hay toys out of hay that my rabbits LOVE!!! I take some strands of hay and tie them in a not to make it. Lulu goes crazy over them. I am not sure why as they are just hay. I will post a video later of my bunnies playing with it.

Mine loves regular hay cakes/cubes, I buy them in bulk from farmerdaves.biz because he eats them up so fast, he will eat as many as I will give him a day, plus they are sort of hard so I think it helps run down his front teeth
