Well, I used to have a problem a while ago with Spooky peeing on my bed. Recently, I moved the bed to the middle of the room, when previously it was in corners of the room. He doesn’t pee on it anymore, instead he just grooms the crap out of it. Which is pretty cute, but I don’t understand. The bad part is that now, when I get into bed to go to sleep, he jumps on it and grunts at me, and then nips my shoulder or arms!

        What does this mean?

What is a proper way to scold him for nipping?

This is so new, he is such a cuddly love bun most of the time

Grooming it is normal – Powder licks my bed too

The grunting and nipping might be because he thinks it is his, or because you are in his way – Powder nips my legs in the bed cause I am in the way of his zoomies. Squeal like a rabbit being hurt to show biting is bad.

Thats what I was thinking, that he thinks its his now. He likes to burrow into the pillow cases now, and when I lay on them, he might be mad that he can’t do it anymore. I usually baby gate my room off when I sleep because he will eat my hair all night if I don’t, so its not too big of a problem. I just didn’t want him to get into a biting habit.

Also, another little problem I’ve been having with him, is that he is peeing in a corner by one of the bedroom doors. ( I have two rooms in my apartment and I block off Spooky from going into the living room and rest of house, but he has my room and a studio room that he is pretty much full free range in.) My room mate has a cat, and I think that might be why he pees in the corner by the door. But its funny because he only poops and pees in that spot. I will take a photo…

DO you think its something I can fix or is it because there is a cat in the house? I pretty much am settled that I will not get my deposit back because he has messed up the carpets and the cat has too, so I’m not TOO worried about it. But it is inconvenient to clean ALL the time.

(hold on, I will post photo)

With the door closed, he pees in the right corner. I have a letterbox for the other corner, but he pees in the corner of the litter box and wall! *sigh*

Here is the door open. I have that linoleum there because he rips the carpet up from being mad that I’m blocking him off. But you can see the cat in this photo. My room mate is actually moving out in a few days, but I am getting another room mate that has a cat too.

I had a problem with Peppy peeing in the corner behind a door in a previous apartment too. We kept an eye on Peppy at all times and whisked her away if she showed signs of getting ready to pee, but in the meanwhile also kept a puppy pee pad in the corner in case we didn’t catch her. As for peeing over the edge of the litter box, you can try to find some kind of plastic sheeting (be creative!) tnat you can put in the corner to make a raised guard. If you want, they also sell high-backed litter boxes, but I’m all for the cheap DIY fixes, haha.
