This was posted on the HRS site. The only disagreements so far have been a need to add chocolate or cocoa and milk to the bad foods section.

Look it over and post any disagreements you may have, but otherwise, it seems very helpful to me.

Ha, parsley is listed in both the good foods and toxic foods First time I have noticed that. That is usually the list I go to

            o_O Milk?

I’m laughing at how parsley is on both lists, lol. Chacha has an addiction to Italian Parsley and it hasn’t bothered her to consume it nightly

yeah milks confusing. and grains are on the safe list too. I thought they were bad. Also just on a curious note I didn’t find Kale on either list. I only looked bc when I first got Bunji I fed him some Kale and then I read too much could kill them (a more scentific explanation of course that I don’t remember) so I took it away and have avoided it even though I know now it’s okay in small quantities.

Besides bread and milk, which have already been mentioned, I thought that beans were not to be given to rabbits. I know that they are on at least one list of foods that are bad for rabbits. It is curious that kale was omitted from the safe list. It’s on every list of good rabbit veggies that I’ve ever seen. Even though I’ve seen some lists that say it shouldn’t be given every day, on the HRS site, it’s listed with the leafy greens that are low in oxalic acid. http://rabbit.org/care/veggies.html

My guess would be-say you have an orphan milk would be what you give. Certainly I am not going to give Rupert a dish of cream -however, they are mammals and it’s not toxic. It’s an issue if they are intolerant (same as dogs or humans) and NOT good for grazers but it’s just not toxic. That’s my guess anyways.

                    Thanks Pam!

Azalea should be added to this list.
