I have been having this problem for some time now the problem seems to be getting worse. Sunshine has the run of part of my room and the hall way. She use to run down the stairs and come back up. I didn’t like it so I would put a baby gate the baby gate didn’t quit fit and I made a gate out of NIC Cubes she knocked that down the steps. Lately she runs down the stairs and runs all around downstairs I run after her and then she comes back up. Lately when she comes back up stairs she turns around and runs back downstairs. Today she actually thumped at me before she went down stairs I guess to worn me she was doing something she wasn’t suppose to. I don’t know what I should do to correct this behavior? Thanks for the input!

Can you put an xpen in a semi-circle around the bottom of the steps when she’s out? This way she could run downstairs, have a little bit of space at the bottom, and then run back up. It sounds like she really enjoys the stairs and includes that as part of her exercise.

I can’t put an exercise pen but you did give me a great idea. Maybe I could block off of the door ways with the nic cubes. I will have to buy some more NIC cubes and create a gate to block off both door ways. thanks

This isn’t helpful, but my Missespants runs up and down the stairs as a part of bunny 500s’ twice a day, too! (Our stairs are very low though, only three steps.)
