Just wondering what everyone here uses for clicker training treats. Since you have to give so many one cannot really use something like raisins. We have some parsley flavored oat pellets from the BB Store, but he’s not really that big a fan. If I tried to pass those off as a treat for him I’d get “the butt” for sure.

Maybe just his regular pellets? I use them and the parsley flavored oat treats, but my buns really like them. You could also use small pieces of veggies.

How has clicker training been going for you?

Regular pellets (taking the amount out from his daily ration) work well. I’ve also used matchstick carrots (the long, skinny slivers) and cut them up into small pieces about a half inch long. Raisins can also be cut into halves or thirds to make them go further.

Remember, when clicker training, you’ll only be able to do it for short periods, 5-10 minutes max, so in that time, the bun won’t get too many treats.

I use pellets. They’re small and quick to eat and aren’t as unhealthy as traditional treats.

I do keep craisins around as a “jackpot” treat.
