         Hi Everybodies!

So I’m a new rabbit owner, and my very first bunny happens to be a French Lop.  She’s right now 6months and she’s getting spayed next week.  Most part she’s very mellow and she only really makes much noise when she tosses her cardboards around and digs in her blanket.  Now I was just wondering how many of you owned French Lops and what are some of things I should be expecting from my bunny in the future.  Such as little funny things in their behaviour, things to look out for… do they ever get so mellow that they just end up lazying about all day?  I know every bunny is different, like people but I was just being curious about other French Lop owners.  I don’t know anyone who owns a bunny let alone one so big

Yay for another French Lop owner. .  There’s not many of us on BB.

Zeus isn’t a full-bred French Lop, but I’m almost certain he’s partly French.  My best guess is he’s half Mini Lop, half French Lop.  He’s 3 (turning 4 in Feb!), about 10lbs, and a total laidback guy as well.  Most of his day is spent flopped out somewhere, chilling.

            I don’t have a French lop.
I kinda feel left out, ha.

I also have a Frenchie, he’s about 15 weeks old and is already bigger then a small dog, weighing 6 lbs!
I was wondering though, how big of an xpen should I give him until he is litterbox trained? Right now he has about 6 square feet because he is such a messy pooper and pretty much refuses to pee in the box. I’ve litter trained a stubborn baby holland lop before so I know patience is required, but I was wondering if my frenchie needs even more space. Also, when is a good age to neuter a boy? I see that his package has already dropped, and having gone through puberty with one lil feisty guy before, I want to neuter this one asap! When would be a good time to get this lil guys operation?
              Thanks!

I used to have one (I think).  She was either a small French or a large English…she was my first rabbit, and so easy to care for I’m very grateful I got her first!

She was the most vocal rabbit I’ve owned.  She would grunt and buzz a lot, and liked to follow people around and throw objects.  She was very laid back and comfortable around people.  She did very well out of her cage and basiaclly taught herself to use a litterbox.  She was mellow, but very social as well.  IMO a great bunny to start out with.

I have a Black and White french lop named Midnight,

First I wanna say French Lops are awesome!

We had no trouble litter training him, and he is hardly ever aggresive. Well we got him nuetured.

                  Have Fun!

Omg soo cute!! I forgot about this thread and hadn’t checked it for a while. Aren’t they just so cool!! I love how super laid back they are. All mine seems to want to do all day is eat and sleep. Sometimes she’s so lazy, she doesn’t even waits till she’s completely out of the litter box to flop down, her back feet get hooked inside of the box while the rest is all sprawled out.
