Remmy is littertrained.  He poops and pees in the litterbox in his cage but refuses to use any other litterboxes in the house.  However, he loves to poop in my laundry!  I tried putting a litterbox next to the laundry basket andtaking the poops in the laundry out and putting them in the new litterbox (which is exactly like the one in his cage), but he still tries to poop in the dirty laundry and  will not use any other litterbox.  The last time I caught him in the laundry, Iput him in the new litterbox, but he just ran into his cage and pooped in the old one… If he never uses another litterbox, can I at least teach him not to poop in my laundry basket?

Is he neutered? This sounds like a marking thing. The dirty laundry doesn’t smell like rabbit.

If he won’t use another litterbox, maybe you can use a laundry basket that has a cover like a hamper so he can’t get in it, or put it in the area he can’t go to? Maybe he likes to go potty in your laundry basket because it has your scent in it.

He is neutered. I will try putting a cover on the laundry, but it will just be very difficult to actually put clothes in it since it is under my desk :/ I put some hay in the other litterbox and he spent some time in it for the hay.

Dirty laundry smells very strongly of Human and not Bunny, as he thinks it should. He’s just making it his. The cover could work, even if it means you need to pull it out from under the desk to put laundry in it.

Get a laundry basket with a lid that you can lift or that opens when you push on it – that way it’s easy for you and he can’t get to it. Powder is neutered but he still marks laundry if he can get to it, it smells so stinky like human BO he can’t stand it so it HAS to smell like rabbit. Our smells being strong are very offensive to them.

Haha, ok, I will invest in a hamper with a cover then!
