1- Any Idea how much the normal cost is?

2- How do the vets do the procedure? Length of recovery time?

3- Is it true it Calms the buns down???

I know its healthy for them so i want to get it done

        Thanks!

Spaying is a great idea! It will help hormonal behavior and reduce the risk of cancer by a LOT.
Normal costs varies, I pay about 100 for the spay and then 100 for the exam and pain medications. Thats with a spay certificate I get for having a house bunny, otherwise its about 300-400 for the spay.

I don’t know how vets do the procedure, but the recovery time is about a week to 2 weeks.

Generally it will calm your bunny down, yes. It’ll help litter box training and stop aggressive behavior.

If you are really interested in the procedure you can often find surgery videos on youtube-and your vet would likely let you observe. Not sure if you are that interested. If you just mean generally-they put the rabbit under, usually on a heated pad and with some monitoring, and then remove the whole bit-the ovaries, tubes and uterus. Then they stitch them back up and usually they observed as they wake up.
Recovery from a spay is a couple of days. You want to ensure you go home with metacam or a type of pain medication. It’s very important females get pain medication as they recover quicker and eat sooner.
You don’t fast before or after surgery, so eating is a good sign they are doing well afterwards.

            It definitely calms them

Have you picked a vet yet? Here’s a list of questions to ask the vet and key things to know before having your rabbit spayed/neutered: http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html

In my experience I got my girl spayed just in the nick of time, right before her hormones started kicking in, she peed a couple times outside the box when she normally had perfect habits and she started becoming a little aggressive, after she was healed I got my normal sweet bunny back

What I paid for the spay was somewhere around $400. The vet should break down the cost for you, showing what costs what. I know that some rescues and shelters offer really good deals on spays.
