Hey everyone, quick question. Are bunnies nocturnal animals? My bunny goes into her cage at night but is constantly up and moving about. It seems that in the day she’s more docile and sleeps much more than she does at night. Thanks for your answers!

They are… I forgot the term, but they are mostly awake during the early morning and evening. Though I too have found that my rabbits are more active at night than during the day. I try to keep them occupied by letting them have toys during the day and food at night. So basically they can eat all night (with just hay and water during the day), but during the day they have tons of toys to keep them occupied.

They aren’t nocturnal, they are crepuscular, so most active at dusk and dawn. Mine are up til 9pm, then they lay down, then they get up around 3-5, run around, nap, get up at like 9am, run around, sleep til like 5pm, get up and run around.

Mine is active all the time. I’m not sure she actually sleeps…

Mine are mostly active very early in the morning. A lot of buns are lazy during the day
