Oreo is a very gentle, loving bunny who always uses her litter box. Recently she has had bad diahrrhea (we already took her to the vet to eliminate problems), so we took away her pellets and she has a strict hay and vegetable diet. Since then she has not been going on her litter box, she has been going right in front of it. She knows she is supposed to use it and they don’t just get “untrained”. We have been retraining her, but any other suggestions besides re-training her? Anything helps.

Have you had her checked for a Urinary Tract infection?

Also if she has been ill many rabbits lose their litter training when they don’t feel good so you do have to retrain. I don’t think rabbits really know they are supposed to use the litter box, some are just more instinctive than others and some have to be trained or retrained.
