I was reading through the reviews and have read success stories with ferrets, cats, and hamsters.

Ha, not so much with dogs, but dogs can be odd.

I got some bitter yuck spray. Didn’t do a dang thing. Leopold would still chew, smack his lips a little bit (I guess he was tasting it), and then continue on chewing.

              Oh, thank goodness!
Now I don’t have to go wild duct tape my furniture with ugly cardboard like i’ve seen…

Fooey is very different from Bitter, its absolutely disgusting instead of just sour

Oh, I thought he was talking of the same thing.
I guess I must try numerous brands if things fail.

It stayed on my hands and accidentally got in my mouth. It was disgusting. I don’t know anything about the Fooey stuff though. I was just angry since Leopold seemed unphased by the stuff I bought.

It works for my buns. I definitely recommend that one! Nasty icky stuff. Wear latex gloves when you use it or you will regret it lol.

My mom used the Bitter for her dogs, I’ve had an accidental taste as well. To me, Fooey was way, way worse. I can’t explain it, really, other than its super foul. The Bitter uses an apple flavor that some buns can somehow like, they probably don’t have the same taste bud set up as we do and maybe only taste the apple or something. The Fooey has no possibly good basis to it haha.

from personal experience with  phooey  is it did work.     however  the taste can stay for years and somehow touching it even 3 years later the taste absorbs to your mouth.   totally gross

the cable man came one day n he touched the sprayed wires the taste seeped into his mouth.     he thought i put something on the wires to kill him   rofl     I guess it works as good on people as it does on rabbits  lol

oh n you can wash your hands but the taste stays unless you soap up 3x and wash

Hmm that might be why I hate that desktop    lol     it is gone now too old  so slow too

Maybe they reformulated? I’ve touched it and tasted it and it only took a simple wash for my hands (and I didn’t taste it when I touched it?) and some water to wash it out of my mouth.

I use a lime scented no chew product that I bought from a rabbit specific website and it works very well for mine. I’ve read that rabbits don’t like citrus, so any citrus oil would probably work (unless you have a strange bunny).

I wonder if just regular lime would work?

sam n lady if they reformulated thats good news.    Sounds like they did if you were able to wash it off  your hands and the taste did not seep into your mouth.

S&LHuman, I’m not sure lime juice would work, since it’s not very concentrated, but I imagine lime or lemon oil could work. Rather than buy it you can get it from the peel (usually if you heat it in the microwave for a few seconds and roll it around on the counter some of the oils will seep out and you could rub it on whatever you didn’t want them to chew)
