I went to the Asian food mrkt today to pick up some bok choy for Huckles. The veggies look fresher there than any other store in town. They had some things that I was not sure about. The veggies were labeled as “Tung Ho”, “Sher Li Hon” and “Gai Lan”. Do any of you know what these veggies are and if they are safe for a rabbit?

          Tong Ho (Chrysanthemum coronarium )

Other names: Edible Chrysanthemum, Garland Chrysanthemum, Crown daisy, Shingiku, Tong Hao, Tung Ho, Tang Ho, Chong Ho, Kor Tongho, Tong Ho Choy, Tong Hao Cai, Thung Ho, Shunigku, Kikuna, Tan O, Cai Cui, Ssukgat, Chrysanthemum Greens, Cooking Chrysanthemum, Chop Suey Greens, Khee kwai, Gul-chini.

Sher Li Hon — seems to be a chinese mustard green

          Gai Lan — chinese kale

… I would think at least the last two would be OK, though they aren’t specifically on any list, but mustard greens and kale are both fine, not sure about chrysanthemum

(NOTE: All info comes from google)

            Awesome! Thank you!
I googled them all too, but I just wanted to make 100% sure they would be safe for her.

Hodari has been eating Gai Lan and she loves it.  I do use it sparingly, though; just a leaf or two. She eats Yu Choy Sum also.

I shop at the Asian market for produce more often than the regular chain supermarkets. They’re plentiful around here and often cheaper & fresher than the stuff at the supermarket. I go several times a week and get a large variety of veggies. I think my bun has had the Gai Lan and the Choy Sum and a whole bunch of others. Anything green & leafy gets shared and he’s never had a problem.
