Sorry, I have to ask! Does anyone have any idea what kind of rabbit Totoro could be? He’s nearing an estimated 8 months old. He has weighed 6 1/2 pounds since I adopted him but he is growing otherwise! He’s now 16-18 inches in length when he’s not flopped. His head is weird, it’s pretty long and pointy. Multiple people have said to me, “He looks like a deer!”. He’s super skinny. The markings on his back and around his eyes are now darker, bigger, and new ones have formed. Sorry this is pic heavy!

        Here’s him at 6 months:

7 months. He’s really skinny, the belly is because he was scrunched up and this was right after his dinner salad:

I agree, I am not sure what he is (I’m sorry) but he is downright beautiful!

He looks like he’s a mix but has some Rhilander breed in him.  Either way, I agree… handsome boy!

Awhh thank you everyone! He is a super chill bunny, all he wants to do is be loved and snuggle…oh and eat. I guess he’s a bit of a mystery, he was found with bott flies in his neck…they are only in tropical countries and very southern parts of the U.S.

BB: I’ll have to look up Rhinelanders. I think I’ve seen one here before, but I forget what they look like.

I just looked up Rhinelanders and I agree, he looks similar to them.

Bott flies? That is odd… Least he is better now, and a cuddle bug.

oh..blech…bott flies. Horrible creatures.    Glad he’s now in a loving caring environment.

So gross! They were so big they were pushing on his air tubes and they said he was so hungry but could only manage to slowly eat one pellet at a time. Permanent hair loss patches on his neck.

Someone found him in a parking lot at a town nearby (I’m in WI) as a baby. They brought him in and he was emaciated, lethargic, dehydrated, covered in ticks (literally covered), and had the two bott flies. I really wish I knew where he came from and why he was out there. When I went to the humane society to adopt him there was a special card taped to his cage that had a heart on it and said “I’m a sweetie!”. And he really is, I wonder why that is given that his past doesn’t sound too good.

Bott flies are nasty nasty creatures! So glad he was rescued and taken care of.

I don’t have any idea about the breed either, but he is strikingly handsome! How wonderful that he was rescued and brought back to health, and that you adopted him. What a great snuggle bunny he is!

I’d take a random guess and say NZ and Rhinelander <3 him!

I agree-looks like he has some Rhinelander in him. I think the color is called ‘broken’ or ‘english spotte’d but not sure. WOW look at those ears-I bet those get great reception! So cute!

Yeah I think it’s called broken too lol

He’s similar to Samantha, and I couldn’t decide between Rhinelander and English Spot (not purebred for either). Finally she got her full growth at only 5 lbs. which is small for Rhinelander, so I think she’s an ES. Both have an arched back when they stand (belly doesn’t touch the ground fully).

I have absolutely no idea, but I have to tell you how much I love the pic where he has his little paw on your leg. He’s so sweet and handsome.

I’ve never really thought about the fact that his back is arched before!

know what’s funny,,, i could care less what a woman’s eyelashes look like, but I notice them on bunnies.

(and if bunnies could wear shoes, i might even give a $h1+ about those too)
