Haai so my bunnies Bubby and shumi were with me ever since July. Before i used to keep them in a hutch outside. but starting around 2 weeks ago i let them live in the hallway& bathroom. They never do binkies when im around . i even got a giant rug in the hallway so they feel stable enough to binky. That never happened,.. only once though! My bunnies like to get petted but they will never let you hold them.. My girl bunny grunts and growls and thumps at me. They freak out when i come. I treat my bunnehs nicely and give them treats but they just snatch it away from me. They never gave me licks and kisses. Im kinda jealous since other bunnies would snuggle and lay down with their owners… MY BUNNIES DON’T! &#160: I play with them almost every time I could. After school, before school, until sleep time.. Why don’t they lick, kiss me or doing binkies when im around DX boo I’m a rejected owner..

Is it possible that their previous owner was very rough on them and carried them by the ears?!?!?! I got my buns from my gramma’s friend!

My bunnies were abused, and after about a year they were fine with me.

A lot of new bunny owners are surprised that bunnies aren’t as cuddly as they are in movies or on tv. Bunnies typically don’t like to be held. Some tolerate it (like my Nava), but for the most part they don’t care for being held. Every bunny is different, some tend to be cuddlier then others. Nava’s cuddly but her sister never was, and actually acted like your bunny at times. I think it all depends on the rabbit.

Just give them time, it may take a while, but they may end up being sweeties like Nava, but are afraid because of their old owner (like my rabbits were when I first got them).

Not all bunnies are snugglers. Monkey, my nethie, hates being touched. Moose, my dutch, will agree to pets, but will not snuggle. You may just have a couple of non-snuggle buns. Being indoors with you full time will help them get used to you more, and relax. It’s stressful outside for bunnies, and that may have something to do with it.

Oooh thanks guys!! I do believe they must have felt lonely in seperate hutches outside since Shumi isn’t spayed but Bubby is neutered!

Are you planning on spaying her? I hope so, it’s best for her health

                  Hi, Bunnehs,
It looks like you’ve posted the same question twice, the first one being on the 16th. I just want to be sure you look at that other post where you got some great answers. If you want more comments on a post you can always type “bump” to bring it up higher so it gets current attention, rather than asking again in a new post. This is a bit confusing, but you still have some great replies here, too.

More on what Monkeybun said, spaying reduces the 85% chance risk of uterine cancer at an early age (also mammary and ovarian). Just something to think about! Here’s some more info: http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/spay-neuter.html

A spayed bunny is a happy and healthier bunny. Nava was never fixed, but I was lucky that she ended up so sweet and healthy. Domino (who recently passed away at 7) was more into socializing with Nava then with humans. She also was full of “rabbitude”.
